  1. Derek Adams and Jamie Hamill really is a fight you'd like to see both lose isn't it!

  2. I thought it was just me! Personally thought it a fairly entertaining match.

  3. Zoid, Eagle4Caley and I attended the first ever London supporters club meeting tonight* in Covent Garden. For those of you who want to get involved, Philomena's Sports Bar is the place to go. *as far as I'm aware

  4. So the new challenge was to be involved in a relegation battle then? EDIT: F'cking hell. Some shout from me earlier in the thread about Robson and Flood eh?

  5. What's with the dreadful game stuff. I believe the highlights will show some pretty slick moves amongst the "dreadful" fare???

  6. Well tonight was a much more positive home performance in recent weeks and I came away from the TCS tonight thinking Aberdeen were there for the taking tonight much as they were in the cup final. For me personally I felt 0-0 didn't reflect the game at all. I thought a draw in hindsight may have been the fairer result and there should have been loads of goals scored tonight - maybe that's credit to the goalkeepers. I am still finding myself getting frustrated at the passing back to the deep and even when we become under pressure Meekings or Warren passes back to Brill and just hoofing it. I personally don't see the point and also can't fathom how Raven nor Tremarco can't be passed to and getting the ball forward as quickly as possible to eliminate the pressure. With that being said I thought some of our passing was good in most spells and some mispasses were happening but that happened for Aberdeen too thankfully so I won't be too critical. I took a moment tonight and actually looked at the Aberdeen team and as much as I hate the wee sh*te, I thought we could have done with a player like Willo Flood. He got the ball from deep very well, held the ball and got the ball forward very well and even chipped in at both wings - a player that would suit John Hughes' passing style of play. Since the injury I think James Vincent hasn't been up to scratch and I thought the difference between him and Ryan Christie was remarkable. Christie had so much energy, got the ball forward and managed to nutmeg an Aberdeen player too. In hindsight, I think John needs to make an executive decision and actually start Ryan Christie in games as we could be much better for it. For me tonight, Ross Draper was my MOTM. Referee was terrible. I'll take a point but should have been 3, but hey ho Bring on Celtic

  7. Unlucky not to get three points, we played well for 70 percent of the game, a god mix of styles and certainly the passing improving all the time. Defence pretty solid, Warren outstanding , Brill back to his best and no real negatives apart from two dangerous slip ups. but over all the better of the two defences. Had we taken half our chances and we made quite a few I don't think the Dons would have got back at us.

  8. Has to be back to the red and blue stripes. Absolutely detest our current Rangers kit. I cant stand the fact we had an identity with our strip and we chose to look like many other teams, boring and bland, we need our identity back please

  9. I'm so loving this! The image of Butcher in that hideous mac and flatcap like some seedy old man is still uncomfortably fresh in the memory. His exit was graceless and a Hibs relegation would be just the sweetest reverse of fortune. I might even be reduced to supporting Dross County when Butcher is in Dungwall! Come on Kilmarnock, St M, PT, Hearts and.........County?!

  17. Hard to get a true gauge on specific reasons for crowd fluctuations when operating in an environment where kick-off times change so often. People only learned of the fixture 11 days ago. It was Friday night game. It's Easter Weekend. It was on TV. On the other side of the coin...the weather was good and probably added a few to the walk-up numbers. All that I will add is that every time I take part in any discussion groups and/or analyse the results of surveys etc (not just involving ICT fans), team performance comes pretty far down the list of reasons why people might choose not to attend a game....so I tend not to look at that as a direct primary cause for any swing in numbers, certainly not in the short term.

  18. I enjoyed the game. Maybe it was because I have spent the last few days on the couch with a busted ankle and was just glad to get outside but I can't agree with others who thought it was dreadful. I reckon we had the better chances whilst allowing Aberdeen more of the ball and instead looked to hit on the counter. Credit to Hughes because I thought it worked well. It also looked like we were back to the old 4-2-3-1 system and played a good mix of passing football but became more direct when the opportunity arose to get at the heart of Aberdeen. Really don't think it was as bad as some are making out. Agree fully with Renegade- minus the over the top insults - Mckay was fantastic last night. His game isn't just about scoring. His hold up play is superb and the way he links with fellow attackers is a real pleasure to watch. There was no doubt that he is frustrated at not scoring, we saw a few moans last night from him, but the rest of his game is still on top form as far as I can see. Vincent was a wee bit disappointing and I would be inclined to see Christie start ahead of him. He brings a real creative spark to the side and with Doran and Watkins outside of him I think we have an excellent creative attack that can set up chances for Mckay.

  20. I wouldn't have taken a draw as only a win would have maintained our increasingly slender hopes of Europe. However, that said, despite it being a pretty unentertaining game, we were solid enough and were a match for the Dons. I thought that Warren was very solid and that Billy played well with more energy than recently apart from the County match and was unlucky to be denied twice by fine saves from Langfield who I though was Aberdeen's man of the match. The main negative, aside from not picking up three points, was Vincent who has been consistently poor since coming back from injury. He is clearly one of the manager's favourites but, in my view is in need of being rested both for his own sake and the sake of the team. Encouraging signs last night but we need to have a back up forward as a matter of priority.

  21. Thought it was a decent game and we should of shaded it. Agree with comments about Vincent his touch was not there for most of game, straight away when Christie came on he was much more positive and has great vision. A few decent chances were squandered but seems to be an improvement in work ethic and defending was strong also.

  22. Concur with pretty much all above posts. defensively Warren and Raven covered everything. Barely saw Meekings touch the ball but will give him benefit of doubt and say it was cos everything was down Aberdeen's left. I was initially a big fan of Tremarco but not at the moment, agree that he's weakest link. Pains me to say it and I think he's more capable than the player we're currently seeing. Draper was great in first half, broke up everything. Wish Tansey had been more influential as we've seen glimmers of a tremendous player. I actually didn't think Vincent was that bad at all, but when Christie came on the difference was stark. What talent and what vision that lad has got. Seriously, the club should gamble on a very generous long term contract for him, with clauses if necessary. I for one have never seen such talent break through our ranks and its a joy to see. overall a pleasant no score draw, no complaints and looking forward to next season!

  23. Graeme Shinnie is utterly fantastic. The improvement in his game over the last couple of seasons is incredible. One of the first names on the team sheet every week. Give him a new 5 year deal with a Nandos loyalty card thrown in.

  24. Shinnie in SPFL team of the year: so well deserved! I'm sure we could argue that other ICT players should have been in the frame, but if it were to be only one, GS would have been the one for me!

  25. Good grief! That's a sight. It may suit the Kaizer Chiefs but as I can't think of a witty response, if we get a top like that, I forecast serious social breakdown and disorder.

  26. What about something like this Kaizer Chiefs shirt, but in our colours? I think it's pretty smart.

  27. If shinnie had been sent off then we all know we play better with nine men. 4-0.

  28. TWO sendings off? Is he meaning Shinnie? The man's a fool. Even their fans admit they were second best on the night.

  29. Partick will be the key to whether Hibs stay safe. If PT have a reasonably decent run, it may come to pass. What irked me was not just when he sat in with them before the deal was done, but his mocking of our resources when he did go. It was good enough when he couldn't buy a job and good enough when he oversaw our relegation. I would actually like him to repeat his bouncebackability next season though...so, very, much.

  30. There's many a slip twixt cup and lip, Mr Butcher. I think you may still be at Easter Road next season but, if things don't go according to plan, then your career may be well-nigh over. And also remember you had better be nice to the people on the way up because you may need them to be nice to you on your way down. And that doesn't mean betrayal .

  33. Looks like he's joined a club with no goal scorer and that is going to finish bottom six *cough* again *cough*.

  34. Sheez, do people honestly believe OTJ is moving from a settled top six side to an out-the-first-round-and-rebuild Hibs side for the challenge? Money. 'Nuff said! There's the same challenge at ICT (although the biggest challenge is staying fit enough to justify his contract - not sure he'll manage that). Flood? Good player. Not a great player but would get in every team bar Celtic.

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
