Haven't renewed my season ticket yet - not so much a protest as apathy brought on by the antics of the last few weeks. I'm sure I would have renewed anyway, but the announcement about David Raven has ensured I'll be down tomorrow to do so! The reason isn't that I think inclusion of DR will suddenly make us world beaters, but I like the gesture from the board to the fans and to DR: Loyalty begets loyalty and this will certainly help to unite, which is what this club is all about!7 points

Now get Meekings back to central defence alongside Warren, and we have a decent look about our defence!6 points

Great news. Good to see that the board, if not the ex manager, have listened to the fans.5 points

Suspect the Euros money was a deciding factor . Still think he is the better overall keeper3 points
-
Absolutely that. It was abundantly clear that whatever the reason was for not offering DR a new contract had nothing to do with his ability and full credit to those behind the scenes for concluding this important piece of business within days of the solitary impediment being removed. We are still very short of numbers but with the earlier news on OFW, we now have a very solid first choice goalkeeper and defence. Increasing reasons for optimism about next season.3 points

David and his family truly love Inverness and the club, so this is great news for them and us. Delighted to see you're staying David !!!3 points

Good luck to Yogi, He did us proud and who knows what could have happened if the money was there and the Board gave him their backing. I for one give a big thank you to the man and his vision of how football should be played, glimpses we saw when we were at our best. I only hope his possession and passing style can be adapted and adopted into a more offensive strategy by the new regime.2 points

Would a club start signing players (even fans' favourites like Dave the Rave) on 2 year deals without a new manager's blessing? ... Just a matter of time before Richie is unveiled me thinks.2 points
-
Woooooooow! I know we all wished this, but I never actually thought it would happen. Great to see the Board grew a pair and stuck their fingers up at Yogi in this one: Another sign of the disconnect between (ex) manager and board. I wonder if the timing of these signings is also a sign of the players' views on the removal of the manager.2 points

It's good to see that decisions are being made quickly and to those questioning the boards forward thinking maybe this decision will go a little way to proving that actually they do have a plan and know what they're doing along with listening to the fans as well. Remember they see and hear everything even when a manager doesn't and even when it doesn't seem they don't, not all business needs to be conducted in the press and media. Genuinly delighted with this news, probably the best right back we've had in recent years and a player who always gives it his all and someone who wants to be here.2 points

Lets hope the pre contracts are strikers and if so we may have an exciting team that with the right manager gives a bit of excitement for next season . Going from wishing the season was over a couple of weeks ago to looking forward to it starting and who the new guys will be.2 points

That's not how I read it. Options available to them could be candidates that KC has seeked out for/applicants that have applied for the job. Whilst Richie Foran will be the favourite, they might go left field and sign up a manager that nobody really thought of.2 points

Fantastic news. He's been through the mill the last few weeks so its good to get this sorted with plenty of time to enjoy the holiday. Before the work starts for season 20162 points

Brilliant news and we can start renewing our season tickets with optimism. Next season will be tough like any season in the SPFL. David is a very talented player. We need talented players. Let's hope that by Friday we have lots of good news coming from the club.2 points

Because they cant see past the end of their noses and everyone but Rangers is to blame for their troubles. Apparantly they've been outside Ibrox today burning scarves and season tickets in protest to the signing of Joey Barton. My understanding is that Barton has openly spoken out against Israel's treatment of Palestinians and Rangers fans somehow see that as anti-semitism2 points

I'm sure they'll turn up as soon as anyone boos at one of their heroes. Just to protect them of course.2 points

Inevitable after OFW signed his contract. Despite missing the last few weeks, he made a significant contribution to our success last season. Best wishes for a successful and injury free remainder to his career.2 points

The reason why Latapy left has never been properly explained. I know he wanted to look for a manager's position of his own but it seemed odd and still seems odd that he should voluntarily render himself unemployed while doing so.2 points

Sorry to say bye to Deano, a great keeper for us in his day ... but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him again ... at Aberdeen CT. He admittedly loves life up here and they could do a lot worse.1 point

Dean's departure takes the shine off the good news about Dave the Rave. Dean has been a loyal servant to the club and also seemed to enjoy the Highland lifestyle. Lucky will be the club you go to next Dean and I'd be delighted to see you here again in the future.1 point

So pleased for David and the fans. Now starting to look forward to next season with some optimism, some difference a week makes! Had a feeling this was going to get done so well done to the club for making it happen. A well deserved contract which was a no brainer to everyone except John Hughes.1 point

Good to hear that the matter of player contracts is still in hand despite there being no manager in place currently.1 point

Law, Templeton and Clark have all been released. All good players I reckon. Whilst they may be unattainable financially it's very much a case of if you don't ask you don't get. Would not be surprised if Aberdeen have a look.1 point

and not a single adverse comment from anyone on BBC Scotland about the constant illegal sectarian singing, that in itself is a disgrace on the part of the national public service broadcaster. I heard Stewart Doncaster being interviewed on the radio laying the blame for the pitch invasion on the Hampden authorities. It is an SFA competition and, in my view, the ultimate responsibility for any shortcomings lie with them but, of course, the SFA blazers never take responsibility for anything.1 point

Excerpt from a Russel latapy interview in The Scotsman - 6th March, 2016 "The mood turns slightly more serious when he contemplates his current situation, which could be described as being between jobs. He walked away from Inverness before the beginning of this season, explaining to Hughes that he wished to manage in his own right, rather than be an assistant. He planned to be back in work by the end of the year. “I do miss Scottish football and football in general, but it was a decision I made at the time and you have to stick by them,” he says. “I left Inverness at a peculiar time, when it was the beginning of the season and everyone pretty much had their teams. I was hoping that maybe by December I would be back in the game. “I know I will be back in the game by the beginning of next season. I’ve already had a few offers that have not been right for me, although not in Scotland. These have been in Portugal and the Caribbean. But next season I will definitely be back.” He believes his ambitions are being frustrated through no fault of his own. There is a persistent suspicion black managers are not being given the chance to show what they can do in British football – and Latapy subscribes to this view. In Scottish football, where Latapy would most like to manage, the absence of black managers is as stark as anywhere, perhaps starker." Was part of the management team that took us to 3rd in the league an won the Scottish cup. Well worth a shout with Foran as Assistant1 point

John Hughes He has to be held as a club legend in his 2 and a half year spell, he won the scottish cup and took us to europe and a league cup final, not forgetting our highest ever league finish. He certainly went through his ups and downs, but in 50 years time what will he be thought of by ICT fans? He will be known as the man who brought the worlds oldest trophy up to Inverness. In 22 short years we have done what some clubs have not managed in over 100. We may never win it again, but he brought happy memories to every ICT fan. some people won't be happy he has gone, who knows what goes on behind the scenes, but to become an established premiership club in the last 10 years with only 1 little blip is incredible. The John Hughes chapter in ICT folklore is over. Whatever the board does, there will always be questions asked, there will always be mistakes made, but for all the success you have brought us. John hughes i thank you. Onwards and upwards into the next chapter. No matter who the next manager is i will be supporting ICT for years to come.1 point

Yogis "best friend" also said we played "no football" before Yogi arrived, and apparently he now has us playing "total football". If these views reflect those of Yogi himself, then the man is an absolute tool.1 point

It's not really valid for you to raise any issues in this thread, given that you don't pay for your entry to an ICT home game!1 point
