  1. I'm finding myself in agreement. Talks a great game but what has he actually achieved, other than alienate a lot of local businesses from wanting anything to do with the club after the concert fiasco? All that orange kit and 12th july nonsense was the final straw for me, the club should never have let itself be lowered to that level! Seems like the chairman has given him free rein of the club to run it as he likes? Might his final act have been, what's becoming blatantly obvious, the mad decision to award dodds another 2 year contract?

  6. What I'm seeing in this conversation is that there are fans who would like to see some action being taken, even though there's no real consensus on what that should look like. There's even a growing number of fans who were against the idea or sitting on the fence who are moving towards the idea that something needs to be done. The biggest hurdle to any action being taken by fans seems to be the lack of leadership/organisation. No group is better placed to do this than the Supporters Trust, and it is part of their objectives to represent fans/community in these matters - https://www.ictsupporterstrust.org/the-trust In my opinion, they are complicit in their total silence and lack of acknowledgement of the the fans' concerns outlined in this thread and on the wider forum. This only serves to strengthen the club's position that fans don't/should not have a voice, and can be ignored. We've had all the excuses from ex trust board members and volunteers. Time for the chair/board themselves to show face, tell us what they are going to do, or give reason for why they are doing nothing.

  8. Today marks the 30th Anniversary of the historic votes which led to the merger and the creation of ICT. The intervening years have brought a great deal of success with the club having won the Scottish Cup, had several years in the premiership, and played in Europe. There have been some hugely memorable days during that period and we can look back with a lot of pride. Against that history it is very sad, 30 years on, to see where the club is now. We are struggling in a lower division, getting beaten by part time sides, haemorrhaging support, and have a Board of Directors and senior management that seem to care little for the supporters and their concerns. It therefore seems like an appropriate time for people to make their views known to the club. The current decline on and off the pitch needs to be turned around, and soon. As STFU says, the Supporters Trust is best placed to represent the fans. Hopefully an open meeting will be the opportunity for people who are concerned about the state of the club to come forward and offer some constructive help to the Trust. The Trust Board is democratically elected by its members and all supporters are welcome to join. The Trust Board is, therefore, what the supporters make it to be. If the supporters want the Trust to be more effective, then the supporters have it in their power to make it so.

  9. Ross morrison needs to start now and sort out this continuous mess that the club is in or ship out Blame does lie on him being chairman . He has the final say in running the club with the decisions made by CEO Scott Gardiner and sporting director John Robertson in the running of this club . 8 games now and no win . ‘Unbelievable statistics’ Why are you just carrying on like nothing is happening ? . You’re fuking up the club between you. Loyal supporter ? My arse no loyal supporter behaves like this .

  11. The ruined castle is Skelbo. Your second shot is from the layby at the north end of the Mound, at the top of Loch Fleet. Your house is a nice holiday cottage just north across the river from the layby, 7 nights from £599. Might be a bit noisy since it's literally next to the A9. But I don't think it was the station - that appears to be the building that is a couple of hundred yards past the cottage, along the unsurfaced track. Am Baile has a postcard - https://www.ambaile.org.uk/asset/27972/ - which shows the railway and the road at that point, as well as a "station building", which looks like a cottage for the attendant for the level crossing there. I think that is the house in your photo. Unless I'm going crazy - always a possibility - the road nowadays follows the line of of the railway, pointed directly at the cottage, and the old road embankment has gone.

  12. In Dodds We Trust? With no wins in seven games (six defeats and a draw), it's a welcome distraction this weekend as we travel to Gayfield Park Arbroath to take on the 'Smokies' in the third round of the SPFL Trust Trophy. That's no easy task now that Arbroath have pulled their socks up after an opening day trouncing from Dundee United and back to back defeats from Queens Park in the Championship. In saying that, the first three defeats have been against two of the frontrunners in the Championship. However, It might offer us an opportunity to further bed in our latest additions who featured in the draw against the Pars last weekend. Not only that, but it'll be good practice for the Championship encounter at the end of the Month. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Arbroath Match/Ticket Info Supporters Bus £20 North off Scotland Cup ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Venue H2H v Arbroath Pld Won Drn Lst For Agst + / - Home 24 17 4 3 59 19 +40 Away 22 10 6 6 30 23 +7 Neutral 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Total 46 27 10 9 89 42 +47 Last encounter from last season saw us win 2-0 at the Caledonian Stadium: Two of the Championship form teams clashed at the Caledonian Stadium with both clubs on good runs, Arbroath unbeaten in seven games and Inverness just the one defeat over the last seven. Both clubs needing the win for different reasons, and both clubs capable of taking the points. After a dismal first half goals from Nathan Shaw and a Scott Allardice penalty settled the points in our favour. The downside was a red card for Jay Henderson... Maybe we will see a mixture of new guys, experience and fringe players. Basically anyone that's fit enough and good enough to pull on the jersey. Max Anderson and Morgan Boyes both had decent debuts last week against Dunfermline. However, after a solid first half we started to look jaded all over the park and ended up hanging on for a point. Somethings wrong that's no right and it needs fixing now. Nikola Ujdur still to arrive? Keith Bray was a second half sub last week and Maybe Cammy Mackay will get the gloves. What can Aaron Doran do for us and Billy Mckay needs to show that his extended contract was money well spent instead of having to chase back all over the park to get a kick of the ball. According to Bazza below, we can expect some fringe players in amongst the current incumbents. Welsh might be back in training soon, but the other two are longer term. Arbroath Changes since we last played them In: Leighton McIntosh, forward (Cove Rangers); Kenan Dunnwald-Turan, midfielder (Straelen); Jay Bird, forward (Dagenham & Redbridge); Jess Norey, midfielder (Barking); Aaron Steele (East Fife); Craig Slater, midfielder (Forfar Athletic); Jermaine Hylton, forward (Rushall Olympic); Mark Stowe, midfielder (Linlithgow Rose); Alasdair Adams, goalkeeper (Musselburgh Athletic). Out: Lewis Banks, defender (Altrincham); Sean Adarkwa, forward (Wealdstone); Dale Hilson, forward (Stirling Albion); Cammy Gill, goalkeeper (Montrose); Kieran Shanks, forward (Peterhead); Dylan Paterson, midfielder (Linlithgow Rose); Bobby Linn, forward (Lochee United); Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, forward; Paul Komolafe, forward. Loan Out: Scott Allan. Loan ended: Dylan Tait, midfielder (Hibs); Toyosi Olusanya, midfielder (St Mirren); Scott Bitsindou, midfielder (Livingston); Steven Hetherington, midfielder (Falkirk).

  13. Ffs, you think the trust is in cahoots? Jeezy peeps. I find it odd that folk who don't join the trust seem to think that they have a god given right to have the trust represent their opinion when they have made no effort to engage themselves. And when nothing happens, its the trust at fault. It's not up to the trust to scour the Internet for whatever fan views prevail. Ever decreasing circles.

  14. I always questioned why this was Dodds first job as a number one at his age, when he has always been a number two! And as for the two year contract, that just smacks of jobs for the boys. His contract was up, the club could have let him walk out the door without compensation, but they decided to give him a two year deal and now he would walk away with a nice tidy sum, if we could afford it, which we can't. I only hope that there are some conditions related to the contract, like we have to have so many wins or so many points by a certain date, but I won't hold my breath on that score. Today's game would have been a great way of getting some form and confidence back into the team, if we had of played our strongest team, instead, we let possibly one of our rivals down at the bottom of the table, get a psychological advantage over us, so we go into our next crucial game, with low expectations, no form, and Dodds no wiser to our best eleven, formation and tactics. I look at all the teams in the league and can't see where any wins will come from.

  19. Our only chance of silverware and success this season gone. Also a great chance to lift some heads. People forget what the cup win in 2018 did for the teams morale and confidence after an horrendous start the season. This team badly needs something to hold onto and we've chucked it away. No way will we reach the later stages the Scottish Cup unless the draw is kind to us. Reaching the final would've also given fans something to cheer about a day out to look forward to instead it's complete focus on what will be a long league campaign . Regardless of how serious this competition gets treated by the fans, board and management we can all agree that getting knocked out of the Challenge Cup in September is not good ....

  23. Meaningless result today overall though, as we've lost but it hasn't negatively impacted our position in the league. Credit to the management team for bringing some stability and not letting our main competition in the championship move away from us.

  29. I don’t agree with you this time, we’re in no position to throw out the reserves and not care about this competition. Going out at the first hurdle like this is pretty poor and it’s not giving anyone any confidence.

  31. Personally I’m glad to see squad players getting a chance and quite a few first team regulars being rested, as I don’t really care about this tournament (until the final, that’s different!) We’ve clearly gone with a strong defence though, in the hope that they can get to know each other a bit more.
