  1. DraganICT: Opinion is fine, and I for one am not looking to change yours, tell you that yours is wrong, or stop you having one, but wind yer neck in FFS !!!! When you start making your posts more about the posters than the topic, especially in such a derisory manner, then it steps over the line.

  2. So our holiday has finally arrived and with great excitement we drove the 47 miles off the highlands to get our tickets today. We will be in block F behind the goal proudly wearing our Watford shirts. Really looking forward to watching the top team in Scotland! Be nice if you see us if you come and say hello. Oh and we havent been over the bridge yet as our jabs are not fully up to date! Gary

  3. On my YouTube account I'm starting a new series called "Away Days" based on ICT's away games this season with there being footage of the match from the away end, goals from the game and reviews on it. This may be a pointless idea but I thought it would be alright if I made videos to show my support to the club. I made the first episode yesterday based on the Celtic game. Hope it's okay and I'd love to hear feedback on it:)

  5. Your post lacks cohesion and clarity. What are you trying to say? No matter how much you bleat my opinion will not change. We have great board who apply a great deal of dilligence to the governance of our team. Our role should not be to help finance Heart's successes of the past few years. It is none of our business. Have you conducted due dilligence on this organisation that you are proposing to finance. Do you even know who they are? You clearly have not got any background in business or economics. 1. The offer protects ICT's financial position as income from the average visiting club is ring-fenced. i.e. no split of income will be offered from the first 650 tickets. 2. The club will benefit to the tune of £15 for every additional (full paying) Hearts fan that attends as a result of the offer. 3. Your claims that this somehow supports a corrupt regime are unfounded. 4. Yes, as a matter of fact I did do some due diligence on the 1874 Fighting Fund...maybe you should too before digging yourself a deeper hole. 5. Qualified as a Financial Consultant aged 18, held position as Senior Compliance Auditor, Senior Risk Management Officer, Head Analyst (Change Management), Project Manager (Change Management)...all for a major banking group. Does that count as having a sufficient background in business or economics to allow me to comment on this subject? All for a major banking group? Check you out! All for a major banking group? That instills trust in us all oh wise one. All for a major banking group? I would be keeping that to myself sonny after the recent performance of MAJOR BANKING GROUPS. You could be unemployable with a CV like that my boy. Especially if you are now backing UKIOS Bank Group. Sorry in answer to question number 5 you are probably the last person I would ask on this subject. ALL FOR A MAJOR BANKING GROUP. Who the feck do you think you are? HE SHREDS WHEN HE WANTS HE SHREDS WHEN HE WANTS FRED THE SHRED WORKS FOR THE BANK HE WORKS FOR THE BANK HE WORKS FOR THE BANK TRUST MEEEEEEE I WORK FOR THE BANK GET A GRIP!!!!!!!! Dragan, As Chairman of caley Jags Together, I was genuinely interested in your ideas about membership etc, and would have raised them at my next meeting with Kenny Cameron. In light of that last post - won't be happening. I realise that you appear to be new around this forum and appear to be wanting to point score, but that is out of order. If someone presents you with a counter argument, could you do them the good grace of arguing back instead of spewing vitriol at someone you don't know. That's how we work. If you want to discuss your ideas, PM me please - but don't expect me to get into a haranguing match on this forum. Cheers, Davie Balfour.

  6. We should be professional enough to beat any of the non seeded teams. I would be interested to play Falkirk and see how Roberts gets on against us. He seems to be making a real impression there. But what tonight proves is that no team can be taken for granted. Even lowly Stranraer seemed to be worthy winners against a pretty full strength County side. County apparently only managed 4 shots all night! Of course, it could simply be that County are sh*te.

  13. Not over enamoured at seeing the light. It didn't do Paul any good in the long run On Saturday both my teams were winning two goals up, both ended up in draws. I well know a seasons a long time, but dreaming is what it's all about.

  14. Why not just give him to Hearts to get them out of trouble? Maybe we could get Gary Glen to replace him? Or maybe spend a bit more for a Stuart Duff return? Im quite embarassed we are hanging onto a player that should be at a bigger club like Hearts or Dunfermline. He is desperate to go, so let us get shot of him asap.

  15. This talk about hearts is just nonsense as football fans why are guilty of being hypocritical and it is displayed hear. The money that the club is donating is going to a fund set up to help the fans pay some running costs of club while it is financial trouble e.g repairs to tynecastle as already said. My best mate who i met at uni is a jambo and he has changed his mind on numerous occasions about romanov, one minute he is saviour next minute he is ruining the club. So on that front yes they did lap it up during the good times but if Inverness where same position we would all be singing and dancing in the street. As a club we have come from a humble beginning and have done thing right from the start but hearts like many other clubs are victim to the period when Scottish football chased the big money and paid for players way to expensive and more fatally paid inflated wages which would never continue. In fact Romanov stopped hearts going bust when he bought them so this isnt a new thing under romanov. Scottish football is where it is now, will we see the days when a scottish club and compete in europe where it aint the old firm im not sure but clubs are more accepting that the heavy spending days are gone. As for hearts they never cheated when romanov pulled the plug the club shed lots of players to try and cut budgets but the damage was done. They are allowed to buy players like any club and so they didnt hve the money so what they got short term success but have paid for it now i mean are english clubs who are in masses of debt cheating because they buy very expensive players with high wages but because they can sustain the debt it isnt a problem. As for the semi final we never turned up and with Billy missing the easiest goal of the whole of last season we shot ourselves in the foot wilson and ngoo didnt exactly change the game ngoo scored but we dropped deeper and allowed hearts back into the game. I am led to believe they were both free loans and the 50,000 owed to Liverpool is some gate money that they didnt recieve from Hearts so there you go rant over everybody smile we are top of the league

  20. Totally agree with CaleyD here! Would be so unfair of the club to put a big price on his head when he's done so much for us. Europe would be a step too far for us anyway being a small spfl club. If he goes we can easily use the money for other things as already stated.

  22. The whole point is that ICT will benefit financially, not make a loss. They are ahead--right? .......................Hullo!!!!! And make friends of the fans who are hardly to blame for the schemzozzle dumped upon them by that European lad. Vlad had an idea that turned out to be really bad Spend money that he didnae have but thought he had At the end of the day he was revealed as small and sad, Back up a Tad,.........Vlad was Mad And we hope that's the end of that tune, E'Gad.

  23. If we want ICT to progress then we have to let the past slide away into obscurity and concentrate on the future. In case any of you younger element haven't noticed, life is short. The ICT Management is making both a generous, and a calculated business, gesture which is fine by me. Remember .."There but for the grace of God go I." Hearts are an integral part of Scottish Football and, frankly, the demise and/or near death of so many former prominent teams is something we should be scared of ...and a sad reflection of the current state of football in Scotland . If it keeps on like this how many decent team will there be left against whom we can strut our brilliant stuff ? This is a positive gesture by ICT which should be applauded and supported. It's smart, shrewd and generous and will make friends not enemies who will remember us when we have won the league. Be nice to people on the way up because you may need them on the way down. If you love football then we should welcome the hearts fans with open arms and wish them well under any future "new" management.

  27. I thought the Doran penalty incident WAS a penalty at the time. Anytime i have seen it since has not made me change my mind. It was a CLEAR shove in the back, and denied Doran a scoring chance.

  28. There seems to be a formula when making offers for ICT players. I think the formula goes something like this........think of the going rate for such a player....then offer ICT 1/10th of that amount
    1 point
  29. Watching Doran's penalty claim live on TV, my first reaction was that it would have been a soft award. However, having seen it several more times on the highlights, I think it was a clear penalty. Certainly I've seen many softer ones awarded (usually against us).

  30. The joys of being a simple forum member....I finally get the option to put the constantly negative doom and gloom merchants on ignore. Had to give myself a bit of a shake at the end of the game for daring to feel in any way disappointed at going to Celtic Park and only coming away with a point. Was their things we could have done better?...yes, but that can be said of any game regardless of the result. The only "error" that comes to mind is not clearing the danger that resulted in their first goal. However, I qualify that by adding that we have been playing the ball out of defence and causing teams real trouble on the counter all season and I'd rather we stuck to that as the default than hoofing everything. If we get caught now and again, then so be it...so long as it benefits us more than it costs us over the season. Rather amusing that the (what should have bee) penalty incident seems to have been quickly glossed over by a lot of the pundits and reporters. Some of the excuses I've heard for it not being given are even more hilarious....paraphrasing here, but you'll get the gist.... "He couldn't give the penalty, because if he did it would also have been a red card" "Doran was obviously looking to be fouled, so he can't expect a penalty when it happens" "It's a contact sport, you have to accept a bit of rough and tumble and the ref can't give penalties for every foul in the box" "It would have been unfair on Celtic as they still had a chance to get back into the game at that point" "If he'd taken his shot earlier then van Dijk wouldn't have had a chance to foul him" "It was a soft foul" The idea that a foul in the box, regardless of who/when/why, should be a penalty seems like an alien concept to some people. With regards pundits and reporters...I think they're suffering from not knowing what to talk about when they can't spend hours and column inches praising Celtic. Unfortunately it doesn't show it on any of the highlights, but the linesman had his flag half way up for the penalty and then changed his mind. Overall I thought it was a great performance from us. I've been raving all through pre-season and the start of the league campaign about how versatile our starting 11 are and they showed that on Saturday. To be able to adapt so well without the need for changes in personnel will only breed confidence and consistency as the season progresses. Good to see Watkins get some game time at the end...for those who've not seen him yet, you're in for a treat when he gets a proper run out. He has this ingrained belief that he can go past anyone and everyone....and from what I witnessed in pre-season, the ability to back that up.

  32. I absolutely think that the ICT fans should be getting carried away....make the best of the here and now, shout from the rooftops about how well we're doing, let nobody play down what we've done so far and what we're capable of doing going forward. Things could change at any time, and I for one will not have any regrets for failing to enjoy it while it lasts.

    • Inverness CT 3-1 Morton - Report
It was a lovely evening for a game of football, what could possibly go wrong? Well, what did go wrong was Queen's Park beat an understrength Airdrie 2-0 at Hampden, therefore despite beating Morton 3-1, Inverness head for the play-offs. Morgan Boyes opened the scoring with a thumping volley after half an hour. Kirk Broadfoot benefited from slack defending to level before the break then proceeded to earn the wrath of the home support with an embarrassing celebration in front of the North Stand. Cammy Harper relieved Billy Mckay of penalty kick duties and duly slotted home from the spot ten minutes after the break. The scoring was completed just after the hour when Sean McAllister drilled home into the bottom corner. Robbie Muirhead had been sent off for simulation then taking a wee fit to himself and was promptly sent off after 58 minutes just after Harper had knocked in his penalty kick, probably aggrieved that he never earned a spot kick for his dramatic dive.

    • Inverness CT -V- Morton - Preview
Well, where do you start. It was clear from the begining of the season that something was wrong. Poor signings, dismal performances in the League Cup followed by an abysmal start to the League campaign saw Billy Dodds removed from his position after winning one point in the first six Championship fixtures and replaced by a man with no track record as a manager. A sort of publicity stunt if you like. After the initial new manager bounce wore off, we found ourselves little better off with Big Dunc than we were with wee Billy. We did claw ourselves up to the coat tails of others but the most damning part of our season has been our inability to score goals, especially at home. Only already relegated Arbroath are worse than us. Our team is now full of mercenaries, loan players with no affiliation to our Highland pedigree and many fans have tagged us as being the worst squad ever in our short history. Where are the Golabeck's, Tokeley's, Wilson's..... Much of this can be attributed to our lack of financial nous in the boardroom, failed ventures and now the begging bowls are being put in place to save our club. Having drawn at Dunfermline last week thanks to Aribim Pepple's first goal for the club combined with Billy Mckay's penalty miss, it's now out of our own hands. LAST SIX: D L  W W L  D

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.
