Fact...History has shown that unattended packages can have explosive consequences

Fact...In any public place people are advised not to leave anything around that could be deemed suspicious

This has nothing to do with Syria. It is to do with public security from, as IHE points out, any sort of fanatic or grudge bearer wishing to cause human misery.

Aye but don't you know that the selection of sweets and drinks at the stadium isn't very good and no-one in Inverness is smart enough to commit a terror attack....?

Please don't think that because we live so far north that we are immune to everything. Some of the reports I have seen in work would make anyone re-evalutate just how secure we are in the Highlands.
