  1. We're ******... Part time football beckons... Goodbye all u happy clappy fucky wankers I've had it..... The clubs ****** and u all are too.... Bye bye
  2. He is a grafter. Seen him play once and he was very impressive. A good solid replacement for Polly I would hope - albeit without the sulks, occassional stupid decision making, and complete lack of interest when things aren't going his way.
  3. Well I sat in a motorway queue for four feckin hours, made me hit the Forth Road Bridge at rush hour and got to Dungdee 45 minutes before the kick off. Feckin stone cold sober !! Up until that ridiculous penalty decision we were the better team, playing some nice football and looking the team to score by a country mile. But our lack of power and flair up front and the age old inability to take chances let us down again. We really should have been 2 or 3 up and there were scoreable chances for Walsh, White and Doran. The penalty, it's conversion and the timing appeared to simply break our hearts. But we put so much into that first half that it would have been a miracle if we had maintained that level after the second. Only a sniff of a comeback would have possibly riled us up. But the Arabs went for the throat from the start of the second half, pressed higher up the pitch and the second was the beginning of the end. It could well have been 5 or 6 in the end and we never looked like scoring. You would have to say that everybody gave their all but I thiught that some showed their flaws. There weren't many who didn't look absolutely flecked 10-15 minutes before the end. Again that is the cruelty of our play off system. i will leave the Smileymometer alone but Ridgers did nothing wrong, Rooney ran and ran and did well before being flecked. McCart was superb and my MOM. Should Coll have been playing when clearly 50 to 60% fit - I would say not. McHattie was caught out for the second goal and struggled defensively. Our midfield ran their socks off but we went for the long, high ball [often diagonal] too often and did not utilise the width and especially Walsh snuffed. Doran played like he did against Hearts and did not come up with the goods. White had littl support but did not hold things up enuff and lost too much in the air. Not sure either where Brad McKay was playing but it did look like he was employed to provide cover for the ailing Coll which was a waste of a player. May sound critical but we played well until half time and missing chances killed us again. Some of the officials decisions, other than the penalty, were shocking and there were some ridiculous offsides called. BUT what an away support and not a bad home one either. Glad I was there to the seasons death. Bring on the anguish of 2019-20. Caleytillidie
  4. Ignoring the horrendous refereeing decisions against us in both ties the fact is we failed to score in 180 minutes so fair dues to Utd, I thought their keeper was excellent tonight. That said I think Utd better pray they get Hamilton in the play off because I don't see them beating St Mirren.
  5. It was said at top of the game. United's chairman has invested in the club? Does that mean he's bunged the SFA and Ref assoc? Thats both legs the ref's influenced the game. They dont want little inverness with a chance of getting back in the league above a so called big team
  6. Get in there - have a go and they will crumble- good luck tonight! Come on you Caley boys!
  7. Definitely not been forced into this no way...
  8. If that is your attitude maybe it's just as well that you do go.
  9. 4-0 over two legs tells its own story! Nothing to do with refereeing decisions or bad luck.......it's the story of our season, missed chances have cost us big time. Until we change that we will be stuck in this division. Good luck in the playoff final, Arabs. Expecting a bit of an exodus of players over the next few days now. ?
  10. The tie turned on two poor refereeing decisions. In the first leg, we were in control and certainly not heading for defeat until a very harsh straight red left us with ten players for virtually half of that match and without one of our most influential players for tonight. Tonight we were again more than holding our own until the harshest hand ball penalty I've seen in years. I do not generally believe in conspiracies but the football authorities have got the play off finalist from the Championship they wanted. Neither of those decisions would have gone our way had the boot been on the other foot. That said, it was never a level playing field and it's no coincidence that the two teams who have bettered us in the division both have wealthy backers which enabled them to make wholesale improvements to their squads in January. Our position off the field is not good from a financial perspective but there is scope for optimism on it. We improved on last season with a smaller budget and, assuming Robbo gets a budget that is not further trimmed too much next season I believe we have a very good chance of going one better. We finished best of the teams in the Championship playing on a financially level playing field and should be proud of the manager, coaches and players. Our under eighteens have had a great season and hopefully two or three can step up. Great disappointment tonight but tempered with pride in the team and our loyal fans and genuine optimism for the future.
  11. Think that 'penalty' just sucked the life out of them - all that effort undone yet again by a crap ref decision. Put it down to experience, we'll be in a far better position at the start of next season than we were at the last. We have made progress and next season we'll make more.
  12. Is that a typo cheat goals utter travesty.
  13. Keep it civil guys. Answer the post, not the poster please.
  14. Inverness Leisure slides into controversy and splashes into the headlines. It has a lot of people fluming but the celebration dives could still be the act of the faithful.
  15. I, like most others can only go on his previous clubs supporters views. I also trust Robbo has done his research and if this hadn't stacked up he wouldn't have signed him ! Personally I couldn't give a flying f if he has a Wikipedia page ir not. Good luck to him, we should all wish him the best.
  16. The best answer to that is to make sure tomorrow that 'the rest of' Dundee United's season consists of no more than 90 or, at the very most, 120 minutes. However, in the spirit of friendliness towards our opponents, can I wish them well in all four Dundee derbies next season.
  17. What is broken and be mended. What hurts can be healed. And no matter how dark it gets, the sun is going to shine again - hopefully on James Keatings in Inversneckie. I just simply admire "sufferers" who put their message across in such a meaningful and understandable way. When you have been there it is frightening but clearer. RESPECT.
  18. Well, Caley are not the worst but who is then over the last season? Ross County were somewhat worse than ICT etc.:- https://www.cumbernauld-news.co.uk/sport/football/spfl-dirtiest-teams-most-yellow-and-red-cards-in-scottish-football-2018-19-1-4922782?page=1 Enjoy! SP
  19. Bring in a proper striker and we could have won...
  20. Good on you robbo someone had to berate the officials have to feel for him and players terrible decisions in both games the boys must have been gutted at half time lets get behind them next season and win the league come on Inverness people let's support your team
  21. I'm going to post something here which proves that I do listen to the mods lol (I spoke to Scotty a couple of months ago and promised to change. He will confirm this hopefully ? Anyway, I think we had a good season, draws were our undoing and silly late goals such as Queens game where we were 1 up with 5mins left yet lost 1-2 and Falkirk 3-2 defeat a month ago. For next season, I'd like to see Robbo retain our best players (if possible) and play the youngsters such as McGregor, Harper, Machado and Danny Mackay whilst also scouring the market for bargains like he has done before. I trust Robbo in the market and tbh, he's already signing players which is a bonus. My only fear is, he may be off if Hearts sack Level or Holt leaves for Kilmarnock if Clarke does indeed take on Scotland job. Please Robbo, stay another season and get us back to Premier league.
  22. Yeah, we need to convert more of our chances next season.
  23. I hope DU win the play off final, had more than enough of them this year don't want to have to put with them again next season
  24. Just telling it the way it is my Man U obvs don't go to many games if your saying it was a great season ! Don't see the point in empty praise lying everything's rosy pal wer playing gash got major problems on and of the park obvs I don't no the rules your only allowed to say nice things bout the team is it?
  25. I think we're all probably a bit odd!
  26. Tell you what Alan, as I don't think you have ever had anything positive to say about the team, why don't you find another team to bitch and moan about as you bring nothing positive or constructive to this debate.
  27. We need a right back urgently
  28. That's it done now another season of many more lows than highs! Maybe nxt season eh
  29. Steady on he's big boots 2 fill in pollys the man was playing like 12th tier football for Morpeth! Don't get these wildcard gambles of signings there's plenty tried and tested players at this level with in our budget would much rather have seen Telfer or Higginbotham come up look at Cove going in for Fyvie that's the kinda players get u promoted
  30. Good luck lads, you can do it and well done the "Caley Away" wish I was with you, safe and happy journeys.
  31. Really? I dont think there have been too many 'rosey' posts in the last year and as owner of the forum I have fallen firmly and publicly into the camp that wants/wanted to see both Crook and Rae gone. Things are definitely not rosy at the club right now and many site users have that same opinion. The closest thing we have to a happy clapper on here right now is IHE and that is a complete 180 to what things were like when Kenny Cameron or those who went before him were in charge. You may agree or disagree with my opinion, I dont care, its my opinion and I am entitled to hold it and I believe it to be balanced and capable of both criticism and praise for the club ... However, I will also respect your entitlement to hold yours too .. .and that is the issue on here most of the time ... not the opinions themselves, but the attitude of (some) users in denying others the right to hold them and using aggressive or bullying tactics rather than reasoned argument to try and get them to change them. I would also prefer to say opinions are like buses .. if you dont like this one, wait a few minutes for the next one to come along. anyhow, back to the topic at hand .... here's hoping that we can all have a similar opinion later tonight and make plans for the next set of games in the playoffs ..... fingers and everything else crossed for that.
  32. I see that Walsh is fit to return, a definite boost.
  33. Come on Alan, you love Big Jordan really. You're just hiding it really, really well!! They could be a great combo. If Keatings is top scorer, I'll buy you a beer in the Sports Bar at the end of next season. There, it's public.
  34. No idea. I'm not overly bothered about all of this to be honest. if people were as passionate about supporting ICT as they are bleating about stuff like this we would have one of the loudest supports in the country.
  35. Thanks mate Now you are being all inclusive First word of your post refers to me and second refers to your good self enjoy the game tonight ?
  36. C*unty don't need cards to be recognised as the dirtiest team in Scotland...
  37. I am so confused at how people don't think that Liam's tackle is not a red. His studs are at 90 degrees and 3 foot off the deck and he makes contact with his head. It's not malicious and no intent but it's dangerous and therefore a straight red - we can have no complaints
  38. I don’t think I’m the only one mate ,so please don’t despair on my behalf I’m ok thanks ?
  39. Well said. if we won the league, the Scottish Cup and the League Cup there would still be people who would find something to moan about. CMON INVERNESS.
  40. If you truly believe polworth and white are very good footballers I despair really
  41. This is very positive news, regardless of which league we are in next season preparations have started well. These past few weeks I’ve started to feel a bit of the old buzz that’s been missing for so long at Inverness.
  42. We would be better trying to persuade the 95% of Invernesians who seem to participate in it to end their boycott of East Longman.
  43. 'Aggressively tracks back ' - not like for like replacement then ? Sounds promising, and a decent age too...fingers crossed.
  44. This mean we boycott the Aquadome? #F*ckTheFlumes
  45. it's not that D & E won't give another bus. they have bent over backwards to help out. Their drivers are fully booked on Saturday and as we would be late back on Saturday they simply can't provide a driver. They are providing a 61 seater. We are disappointed we can't take more fans down. However it makes a pleasant change for us to have a full bus. And we look forward to more bookings for the final and for next season when we visit Aberdeen, Glasgow Motherwell etc.
  46. I agree with you regarding Macdonald and I've been encouraged by the bits I've seen of him, I do believe he brings a bit more directness to the team however that's where my agreement ends. This is not a game we want Robbo's hand twisted in to have no alternatives and we need our best players available especially given who we have out. We need the likes of Walsh, Welsh and Polly available and the use of the bench and effectiveness this season highlights this need. For me Polly is one of these players that you truly don't know what he brings to the team until he isn't there and my fear on Friday is exactly that. He doesn't get the plaudits he deserves and is an easy target for people to point the finger at. I really hope I am proved wrong and hopefully in a good way we don't miss him. I'm not sure what more White has to do either to prove his worth and a lot of ICT fans are very fickle in their outlook, he's our top scorer and brings a lot to the team. He's struggled not having an effective partner up front who can run off him which will hopefully change next season but don't forget he's still young, learning and has drastically improved this season and imo will get better. I'd rather him as an improving player already scoring goals than Austin who's not improving and not scoring goals.
  47. Very pleased with that. It probably does mean that Austin will be off but, in my view Keatings will be a far more effective player whether in the Championship or the Premiership. Let's hope he does sing often but only when we're winning. As a critic of the current board, credit where it's due, I did not expect us to be making signings of this quality. Certainly not when our status for next season is still uncertain.
  48. 1 point
Far simpler to have 2nd bottom of SPL play 2nd top of championship over two legs.
  49. With the club strapped for cash, I reckon we should look to sponsor another player who will come through the ranks. Maybe Roddy MacGregor, Daniel Mackay or similar, guys who have a future here for a few seasons. I know Scotty has had his share of issues with the club over the last season or two but this is for the overall good of the club and young players, not some of the those that have been bleeding the club for a while.
