  1. I'm struggling with this Go Fund Me malarky tbh. £200k in two weeks? What happens after that? Another Go Fund Me for November etc etc? Don't get me wrong, I don't want ICTFC to die. Those folk at the top that got us into this mess in the first place have more money than me and they're all collectively responsible for it so maybe they should cough up.

  2. What I find totally baffling is the go fund me page isn't even available! If the club is in such dire financial struggles then you would think that this crowd funding site would have been up and running when the statement was release but unsurprisingly it's nowhere to be seen.

  3. In fairness he was only appointed just over a year ago, by which time our demise was well underway and most of the damage had been done. He also also shown plenty of willingness to work with and communicate with fans.

  4. Every little helps I suppose. Albeit, if he was on performance related pay then £0 per week would be about right anyway.

  5. I see at least two obstacles to this £200K being raised - people’s understandable reluctance to put their money into something that may well go to the wall, and the poor public perception the club has as a result of things like the Concert Company and a fair bit more. Then, if it’s not raised and the club does indeed go into administration, there’s always a tendency for people to look at the most recent issue as the decisive factor. Hence the “blame” might tend to be focused on Joe Public’s “lack of generosity” towards the crowdfunding project rather than chronic mismanagement and lack of supervision and control that goes back for years. One other thought. Doesn’t it now seem absolutely absurd that several vital weeks over the summer should have been wasted on the delusional chancer that was Ketan Makwana whom just about everybody else instantly saw through with only a fraction of the information available to those who swallowed this fantasy and “accepted” it as a realistic plan to identify a new “owner”.

  12. I think some of the earlier posts capture my own thoughts too. I agree with @STFU on the hope to come in and run things down to a more manageable level. Cutting our cloth to suit in other words. I also think he knew how much he was prepared to fund himself, but for sure is not prepared to finance golden handshake deals or paying off a former CEO. Yes, not going to pay anything until the picture becomes a little clearer. Would not be prudent. If things went south quickly and we didn't put the money in for one reason or another, then the people who donated it would need to have some say as to where we go from here ... refund or perhaps redirect to youth setup or women's team are just my initial thoughts. As of now however, its ring-fenced and targeted to be paid to ICT.

  15. If the house is burning because a pile of old wood up against the walls was set on fire by the Gardiner, then you can help to save the house by removing the old wood. I agree we need to focus on ideas for the future, but we can't simply ignore the fact that our current Board are part of the problem for going forward. With the exception of Scott Young, it is clear from all the social media platforms that any trust the shareholders and wider fan base have in the Board is next to zero. Looking forward, it is also clear that people would be more willing to contribute to a fighting fund if we had a new Board under Alan Savage. The dead wood has to go.

  16. Reading that statement, the club is f*cked. First point is a crowdfunder to raise £200,000 to keep us going for a couple of weeks, second is "email Panos with money making ideas". Appalling. The people they are asking for money have already put in thousands of pounds to the club over the years - they are season ticket holders, shareholders, people who buy merchandise etc. You can't just keep going back to that well, especially as the club has been so poorly run. When we got relegated I wondered if we'd make it through the summer, now I'm pretty sure we won't make it through the season.

  17. The current board who are culpable for our current financial mess have shown they are not capable of running the club. By not holding them to account they might be free to repeat the same level of incompetence!

  18. If your house is on fire, there are 2 things you want to do. 1. Save the house and its inhabitants 2. Find out how the fire started. One of those things is a million times important than the other, but is less likely to happen if you place too much emphasis on the other at the critical time!

  19. It's absolutely tatties. Crowdfunding for 200k for an immediate reprieve but needing over £1m to see us thru the season... Even typing that shows how futile it is. Like others I'm willing to put cash into a solvent club, at whatever level, and one run by a board of supporters. But it's futile now and I'd rather wait until my money is being invested into a future rather than buying a paracetamol to try and cure an incurable disease. I'm being naive I know but I remember the hope of the 94 days (even as a Kingsmills man), the crowds and the community. What I'd give for the club to reinvent itself as that.

  20. That opportunity already exists with the Stronger Together initiative that the Supporters Trust launched earlier in the year. Funds are held by the Trust with a view to buying shares in the club.

  21. I'd be happy to give money to restart the club after the restructuring, points deduction etc. Not so sure if it's to pay off debts that the Board bear a lot of responsibility for. Can we set up something so the administrators see there's a bank of money waiting to be invested but not wasted?

  22. Just can't get my head round how we are losing £200,000 a month. Where's all that money going? Shouldn't incomings at least equal outgoings? How do other football clubs manage?

  23. The questions will be shared before the meeting, and hopefully there will be answers provided before the meeting, but the Trust cannot control that. We will share them when we have them. The SLO is the correct recipient of the questions, and it is for him to gather the necessary information for the responses. With recent changes to the Board, it is likely that the SLO (as current Vice Chair) will be chairing the meeting on Monday. The Board has called the meeting and has not indicated what role, if any, Alan Savage will play in it or in responding to questions. Sorry we do not have all the answers to your points, but hopefully by picking up on the suggestion that we collate questions we are providing a mechanism where fans’ issues can be raised. Thanks to those who have sent in questions so far. Please keep them coming to: [email protected].

  27. Over 1 1/2 years. That's a long time to question the CEO who was running the club into the ground by misadventure. He also remained silent at the end of the season when players like Doran were left to deal with their own future and knees. They are all culpable and their lack of conscience is worrying. Aye Charles, 3,4,5...... Pick a number, add those that are already gone, multiply it by Thousands and there's the answer. This Massive debt is not owned by just one man. As said before, there is definitely a Netflix move in there somewhere.

  31. If this is the case then the door does not hit them on the way out. No ifs, buts, or maybes .. get out. end of story. This is what got us into this mess in the first place.

  32. If he came back it would be with a much lower offer! If the club goes into administration it could be sold to any lunatic who comes up with some money. The decision on whether to liquidate or accept any offer gets taken by the administrators, not by people who have ICT’s interests at heart.

  33. To clarify any confusion about our position, the Supporters Trust definitely does want the difficult "backward looking" questions to be asked and answered, whether they relate to the stewardship of the club, Board members (individually or collectively), former directors or any other relevant matter. That is exactly why we have highlighted that we know many questions will be of that nature, and that it is our intention to submit these to the SLO in advance of the meeting. We will share the questions submitted and the answers subsequently received. As many questions may be similar, we will group questions together to avoid duplication. However, given the seriousness of the situation, we want the meeting itself to be as constructive as possible, which is why we intend to table "forward looking" questions at the meeting. There are some very good questions being mooted in this and other threads. What we would ask, so we do not inadvertently miss any, is that anyone with questions sends us them by e-mail to: [email protected].

  34. Quite simply, I cannot afford to pay into another crowd funder. For most of us a donation to the club means a sacrifice somewhere else in our lives. I was happy to contribute to Aaron Doran's fundraiser, to sponsor players, buy merch, and invest in overpriced season tickets, because these were all ways to give a little boost to our team and that was important to me. But I don't have an endless supply of disposable income and I refuse to feel guilty about not putting my hand in my pocket this time.

  35. Ah okay, yes we certainly want a club to support! I just don't want -15pts which puts us bottom because League 2 is just unthinkable and tbh if we went there, I would seriously consider giving up on the club, it's bad enough in this league with this manager but it's a lot better than League 2 or even the Highland League! As I said, I really hope that something is done to save us, be it an investor or even Mr Savage himself (I would have him as chairman permanently anyway rather than just in the interim)!

  36. We have committed in email to sponsoring two players, and the money is sitting in my PayPal from all the transactions we collected in here. I want to pay it as every penny helps, but if we were a mind not to, then we could probably say no because we could not be sure the players we have sponsored, or the club, would continue after administration or an insolvency event. I am putting faith in Alan Savage to try and continue to work magic and thats the only thing making me lean towards paying it. Panos and his cronies certainly do not instill one iota of confidence I am sorry to say.

  37. Crossposting this here from the Investment thread as this may be most appropriate place. Also adding the shareholder letter as an attachment that Charles was attempting in post 1. Still no accountability from our board though ... and more worryingly, still an undercurrent of thought that Makwana was a viable investor! As I make a personal comment on each of those quotes I highlighted below from the email from Panos this morning I am getting angrier and angrier at how much he is seeking to whitewash the board's role in this and their lack of governance. Whoever wrote this email for him is trying to spin a situation that has already spun out. Utter honesty and admission of failure would have been more appropriate in this instance. Really? You had no idea before? Thats an admission that you employed ZERO governance on the former CEO. Think you have this reversed. What about seller expectations? and buyer ability? If you seriously considered this then you are utterly incompetent. 100s of unqualified fans who spent 5 minutes or less googling raised enough red flags in just a few hours that would have kept Mao Tse-Tung happy for decades. Thats more googling than the prospective 'owner ' did by his own accounting. You then spent weeks wooing this serial fantasist and even now the courier articles from back then are cringeworthy at how gullible everyone seemed to be (except the fans, Alan Savage and Duncan Shearer). Did we investigate who gets commission on this deal? At full retail that's 2500 shirts per year for 3 years. Given that we won't pay full retail for these and there is an insane markup of football shirts, that could be as many as 5000 shirts per year or a combo of various merchandise. Seems insanely high and not a deal worked out based on the size of the club fanbase, nor the level of our merchandise sales and therefore quite possibly not to the benefit of the club. Something doesn't smell right in this deal. No shit Sherlock! A little bit f***ing late for all of that now. When asked 5 years ago, many of us presented ideas that were summarily ignored, or perhaps left in unread emails. Hundreds of supporters have reported they have sent emails to the club without response and NOW you ask us for ideas. Where were your statutory duties back in 2019 or 2021 or even 2023? What condescending sh1te. For the last 5 years the fans have been ignored and looked down upon by the very same people (Alan Savage aside) who are now coming at us with the begging bowl and hailing supporters as lifeblood. Which one is it? You can't have it both ways. The Supporters Trust have been derided publicly by the [former] CEO - who was allowed to do so by the board - and as the main, formally recognised, fan body, ignored by you all until we are now in the last chance saloon. This board really do beggar belief. Hypocrites. So -£5 million quid in 5 years and not one of you had a f****** clue that we were in deep financial doo-doo and/or had the balls to call either of our former CEOs who held those purse strings to account? Again, where were your statutory duties when this was occuring? Online broadcast and questions for the diaspora outside of Inverness? Lots of committed fans in Scotland, elsewhere in the UK, and internationally. Probably not then. That will be a f****** first. But given that it's unlikely you will make this an online meeting here's a few to be going on with ... I will likely think of many more, as will others on here. You say Alan Savage gave you clarity... WHY did you not have this before? Given your professional qualifications as a respected orthopaedic surgeon would you care to comment on the treatment dished out to our injured players, specifically the accusation made against you by Aaron Doran, and also in general to the club's treatment of other players who were - based on opinions expressed - 'cast aside' by the club over the last 5 years, in some cases while recovering from injuries. This may seem like old news but given the success of a crowdfunding request by one of those players cast aside (Sutherland), on behalf of another (Doran), and the sheer speed by which it reached and surpassed its crowdfunding goal, it may be pertinent to clear the air 'frankly' as you seek to use the same platform to crowdfund for the club. Please explain the internal governance methodology employed over the last 5 years that has seen the previous model of fiscal responsibility at the club (which also struggled to make ends meet each year) torn down and replaced with schemes that seem to have generated a shortfall of £5m in 5 years. Was the board aware of this and if they were, why was it allowed to get to this stage. If not aware, why not? Why did we rely on the assumption that one after another pie-in-the-sky schemes would come to fruition rather than work with what we had, taking small positive steps, and view these schemes as a windfall IF they happened. Please explain why you have failed to communicate with fans over the last 5 years. It is not a secret that this has been happening, so saying you did not know is utter BS, but yet the action of not responding, or not taking any action to instruct those who should be responding has been allowed to continue and is therefore condoned. Do you feel that you and the board of directors have behaved in a manner that is always for the good and benefit of the club? If not, why have you remained in place? That would be a question to each and every board member individually not collectively. Final Thoughts IF the club fails Panos, you and every single one of your board will forever be seen as 'Neros'. Fiddling while ICT burns. So let's see who prefers to be a Hero rather than a Zero. Shareholder Letter 1 October.pdf

  38. Following today's letter to shareholders from the Interim Chairman, the Supporters Trust has issued this statement: https://www.ictsupporterstrust.org/post/the-threat-of-administration We have also seen the suggestion that the Trust compiles a list of questions to be put to the Board, and we are happy to do this. We are conscious that many questions will inevitably relate to how the club got into the current situation rather than to how we can get out of it and avoid going in to administration. As a result, it is our intention to submit "backward looking" questions to the SLO in advance of the meeting and endeavour to raise "forward looking" questions at the meeting itself. To aid us in compiling the list of questions, it will be helpful if they can all be sent to us by e-mail: [email protected].

  42. You have obviously never played the game. Try sitting on a bus to say Ayr, for over 4 hours and then play. When we were in the top league most of the away teams stayed in the kingmills the night before. I play golf and our 10th green is a couple of yards from the hotel. I have spoken to jim Goodwin on the Saturday when the players go out to stretch their legs. Dunfermline players standing across the burn watching us putt. Celtic coaches and players walking past the tee. Etc, etc Why is it an unnecessary expense when dunc payed for it.

  45. The scary thing about the statement is it suggests the problem was us not them ... so it seems they still see it as a legitimate offer!!! The statement reads "We did seriously consider an approach from 77 Ventures (Ketan Makwana), on which there has been much public comment. However, we suspended these discussions when it became clear that the gap between buyer expectations and seller ability to deliver was unlikely ever to be bridged." Seriously? Should that not be reversed? This was at the satrt of the statement and set the tone for the rest of the drivel contained therein. Judging by the statement they would take it!

  46. Saving the house involves dealing with the fire and/or the damage it has caused. In this instance it is the board members who are the fire and they're asking us to pay to effect repairs whilst the fire continues to burn. Giving £200k isn't going to extinguish the fire it will just feed it for another month. Dealing with the fire involves dealing with the board. Everything else is just throwing good money after bad and chasing the folly that somehow we can keep the club going in it's current form. There will be (more) casualties but fans are not responsible for that and the board cannot be allowed to shift accountability to fans for that which is precisely what is happening here. "Fans fail to support scheme to save club" is the headline they are looking for so they can walk away saying they tried. I will reiterate what I said before about thinking the statement from the trust is a solid one. It's only this idea that we should set aside past actions or inactions of the board and support them going forward that I don't like. In reality the questions are going to be asked by someone. It just doesn't sit well with me that the trust position themselves in disagreement with that happening.
