Liam Polworth isn't 17 till October so he doesn't actually have a professional contract - and since he hasn't played for the first team yet I felt I probably shouldn't put him on that list yet.

There is a maximum of 4 players allowed on loan at any one time (and only one of these is allowed to be over 21)

Not sure how much sense MacDonald signing for Burnley for another 12 months would be if he was coming back to us - but then again....

Burnley have offered new contracts to youngsters Wes Fletcher, Dominic Knowles, Alex MacDonald and Alex-Ray Harvey.

Fletcher has made one substitute appearance for the Clarets and had a spell on loan at League Two's bottom club Stockport County earlier in the season.

MacDonald, meanwhile, has featured eight times as a substitute during his Burnley career and has been on loan in the SPL with Inverness Caledonian Thistle since January.

The duo, along with Knowles and Harvey, have been offered 12-month extensions to stay part of Eddie Howe's squad next season.
