The fact that so many different “single” factors have been put forward by various people suggests to me that the decline of Caley Thistle has been a perfect storm of a number of adverse influences all operating in the same negative direction.

Agreed, but with the observation that these factors are not all independent of each other.

For example, a poor chairman appoints a poor CEO, who makes bad decisions.  Or a poor chairman appoints a poor manager, who....

In the end, it all comes down to the stewardship of the club by successive boards of directors, which, to use a word which is indisputable and not defamatory, has failed.

I'd like to hear from Foran. I don't blame him for being a headstrong rookie manager with no support. I think he put his heart and soul into the club. It didn't work. He lost his job. What are his thoughts now? What's he been doing with himself. Would he ever return to football?

Gardyne not going on the players night out 3 years ago. It was his antics that caused havoc in the dressing room and seriously derailed the promotion push that season.

Bit late to the party, but letting Marley Watkins go before the Europa League. Reckon he could've left a dent in Astra Giurgiu and sent us to Upton Park, leaving us with a major payday that could've pushed us back into the European Spots, and maybe back to Hampden cleanly rather than being saved by the skin of our teeth by Andréa Mutombo in the embers against Hibs for a fruitless replay
