Ignoore User--why ignore anybody?

What is the purpose of the "ignore User" button. Is it intended to cut out that particular user's piosts from displaying on your computer?

Why bother? If you don't like anyone's posts why get paranoid?

Instead why not just ignore the posts made by this person without going to extremes. This way you can get rid of that button and simplify the site.

O.K, O.K., in the spy business we often ask seemingly stupid questions to thow the quarry off the scent but the young spy students need curved balls thrown at them from time to time and since this site is a slice of life they are obliged to read it daily. See...? :003:
