  1. I am totally scunnered with your “old goat herder” description of Todorov. He is 22 years old for goodness sake! Is that old to you - if so you must be still in primary school. He has scored goals when he has come on as a sub in last ten minutes, is keen and fans like him already. Some fan you are betting against ICT - you may be right but it seems so wrong to bet against the team you supposedly support.

What is it with ICT players? Over the years we’ve had a few cases of players getting into trouble with the police, and now it seems James Vincent and Dennis Wyness are in a bit of bother. ?
  3. There's only one Djebi-Zadi
  4. Very surprised and ambivalent about this. I'd imagine that Alan Simpsons bedroom looks like a Jackson Pollock painting right now. Narey sums it up well (as usual). He was really effective playing off the shoulder of the last defender and thrived on some of the gorgeous slide rule passes that Christie would play to him. He's not really had the level of service at the other clubs he's been at since and I can't see who would offer that in this ICT team. Maybe if we still had a Vigurs or a Polworth perhaps but obviously we don't have that any more. Scott Burns is normally spot on so there would seem to be something in this. Wouldn't be disappointed but wouldn't really be jumping for joy at the same time. Awkward for the group of ICT fans who barrack him at Firhill if he does come back
  5. First ever Caley game Rangers scarf got binned after that
  6. Now that was a huge passionate and predominantly Invernessian support it certainly puts into perspective the football experience from a fans point of view every other Saturday down the dump under the new guise. I do remember the snow that night and I also remember the Airdrie section B for bigots hurling snow balls at The Caley Ball boys and Hamish Morrison. Watching that footage reinforces to me why it was and still is an absolute disgrace that Caledonian Fc weren’t allowed to go alone but then again the merger wasn’t done for football reasons. what could and should have been eh? ? Dougal
  7. I see that Scott Burns (who to be fair is normally bang on with his stories) is reporting that Storey is coming back on a 2 year deal and will be in the squad tomorrow. Thoughts? Does it mean we're going to sell one of our other forwards?
  8. Ridgers Mckay Donaldson McCart tremarco Carson Vincent Doran keatings Walsh Tod I would go for the above
  9. Highlights of the 3rd round replay between Caley and Airdrie in 1990 is now available on YouTube. Many thanks to @TheMantis for providing the footage of the 2 goals - greatly appreciated.
  10. Come on, such a lack of belief for the first game in the season. We beat them last season, then ran out of puff at the end, coupled with some dire refereeing. No reason we can't match them if we play to our strengths and have a half-decent official. Good game to start with, to see where both teams are. I am assuming they will be the favourites so a good test, and a point or three would set our stall out nicely.
  11. Storey back, Tansey back in a deal taking White to St Midden. Buying Todorov now makes sense.
  12. So will we get back to the topic then?
  13. Oh yaaaas if the big man comes back trust me we'll run UTD all the way Storeys a great player way better than what we've got if this is true it's proper made my week! Storeys the man so different from our static frontmen least he'll run at defenders! So what if he's had a bad time at Thistle get him snapped up Robbo
  14. Heard a Rumour that St Johnstone are sniffing about Jordan White.
  15. I'd go 3-4-2-1. Carson and Tremarco as wing backs helping out in defence. Walsh and Keatings to have more of a free roaming role. Ridgers B McKay - Donaldson - McCart Carson - Trafford - MacGregor - Tremarco Walsh - Keatings Todorov
  16. Hopefully a return to Tannadice is the tonic Donaldson needs to get back on form. He enjoys putting one over them!
  17. I remember this game so well and the fantastic celebrations at the end in the Howden End. Airdrie were top of the old 1st division at the time so this was a tremendous result,
  18. Oh wow!! Watched the penalties from the Telford St tunnel with the late Fiona Mackenzie. What a night that was!!
  19. Like dougiedanger, i do not recall the snow that night at all. I recall it being a raw night tho. God......i miss them Highland League days. Getting into the Scottish Cup back then was such a HUGE buzz. Had many a great away day with Caley, back in the day
  20. Happy memories.I was also down at the first leg in Airdrie and remember thinking we had our chance .But what a performance and atmosphere at Telford Street that night. In fact it was the one and only time I ever saw my father sing at a football game.Love the end of the clip where you can see Alex Young having a fag in the background .?
  21. Well done for putting the video on. What a difference in video technology now and how the players coped in that conditions ?
  22. The game in Airdrie was my first ever Caledonian FC match. We were winning 2-1 until the 97th minute!! Not seen this footage before (as I recall) great scenes.
  23. It was only a drizzle of snow !! Can you imagine that being played these days. I remember thinking that we were doomed when Barley Yoghurt was hooked. Camera work for the penalties was sooperb and so nice to see a full Howden End celebrating.
  24. Excellent stuff ? Never actually seen that extended footage before. Or the aerial shot of the park.
  25. Classic night, funny, don't remember the snow... Alec Young, Norman Miller... Bonus was Section B getting sent home with a flea in their ear.
  26. Can’t argue with that but suspect White will start ahead of Toddy. We badly need Welsh back though.

As others have said, I quite liked Storey when he was with us, but he has done absolutely nothing since, so frankly, I can't see him being better than we've currently got. Its a 'no' from me.
  28. It's a term of endearment sister that was his former job apparently! Haha not yet placed the bet but no place for sentimentality when your a high rolling gambler like moi don't think Robbo or the troops will lend me my mortgage money eh
  29. Take it that's a term of endearment much like goat herder and the traffic cone
  30. See us linked with Storey now that's a striker the others can learn from a man not unlike myself is Miles a man of class an icon in an ICT shirt

Time to reunite the band, someone get Marley Watkins and Ofere on the phone, we're going on another European Tour...either that or he's just returning cos he left his magic hat...
  32. Defo time to drop White see what the old goat herder can do gotta give him a chance pointless signing him if he's gonna be the new Austin warming the bench! Defo not gonna stick any money on us picking up points this time might even do what Iv never done and stick a £10 on 2-0 UTD as u can see full of hope after watching our league cup "adventures" lol
