  2. A bit harsh don't you think? You obviously dont like him or his views - but I dont think that gives you the right to tell him to leave the forum. Im sure this is what a forum is all about - a salad bowl of mixed opinions , enriched with debates, arguments and even agreements- so why would you want Alan to leave the forum or anybody else for that matter just because you dont agree with them. Im sure he has his own opinion of your stats but I havent seen him ask you to leave the forum yet. If you read all the posts on here I think you will be fully aware that many dont attend games but does that mean they cannot contribute. Anyway back on topic we've brought in what we could with the resources we have at our disposal and its probably not enough offer a serious challenge to the title but the playoffs are well within our reach.

  3. Truly awful comment to make from a management team that are pure and simply not upto the task. Its down to him to get the tactics , formation and motivation right for every game ,home or away. Absolutely no passion on or off the park and that unfortunately carries over into the stands. Stop looking for excuses and face up to the facts that we were f*****g awful today.

  5. Was surprise by Robertson reacting yet again to the fans behind him in the main stand. After one of many attempted crosses which went wide, a fan uttered his displeasure. Robertson turned, offered the fan to come and do better, shouted that the player managed it in training all week then told the fan to '**** Off'. I don't like fans abusing players, managers etc, but I think the pressure is really getting to Robertson and no wonder. One of the worst teams I can remember seeing, absolutely bollocks at home all season and there are more empty seats around me each week. I really feel for my team as I think the future. Looks really bleak ?

  6. John Robertson...."We've got a problem at home. We've won two, lost three and drawn the rest. Away from him, we've got a small band of fans that get right behind the team but at home they don't seem to do that." There we have it folks.....it's all our fault. WTAF Give us something to get behind and we'll get behind you! But all we see the same abject lifeless performances every other week!!! That's a ridiculous comment to make. Don't think I'll bother turning up in future if I'm only going to be a hindrance to the team! Raging!

  7. I think its fairly obvious to us poor fans sitting through that 90 minutes how poor the coaching is this season last season at least we had Rice this year it is just rank rotten. What does it take for Brad to get dropped his dithering cost us today he is not a central defender and defo not a right back. Lack of leadership from the dugout once again they stand leaning against the dugout like 3 cardboard cutouts. One other thing can the coaches train Brad to be on the pitch side of the lines not the stand sides cause then he is off the pitch DUH!!

  8. I try to be realistic about my expectations and I have enjoyed a lot of the football we have been playing this season. Even when we have failed to win we have had spells where we have dominated, played some good attacking football and created several chances. But not today. Today we were simply dire from start to finish Partick must be about the worst team to have come visiting this season but they were a lot better than us. I can only assume that Tremarco and Donaldson were on the bench because they were not match fit. But to be honest, it looked as though a good number of those who did start were not match fit. Maybe Austin and Rooney are also carrying injuries or not match fit as they were two of the better players in the first half and it seemed bizarre to take them off. Young McDonald had a game to forget and was rightly subbed, but to be fair to him, he got no help from those around him, and no protection from the referee against the physicality of the opposition. Trafford at least offered some energy and urgency when he came on and McCauley added a little bit of much needed attacking flair. Five minutes before the end ,McCauley was announced as the sponsor's MOTM. But he only came on in the 70th minute. I think that rather sums it up!

  9. Getting pretty sick of posting the same comments after almost every home game! That first 45minutes today really was the worst I can remember from an Inverness side. Absolutely pathetic! Why McKay wasn't hooked at half-time instead of Rooney is a complete mystery. The only positives I can take from today are that we learned that 1. McKay isn't a central defender, and 2. He's no a right back either!

  12. Another week another poor home game. Robbo can huff and puff about home fans but weve had 2 wins at home in the league what exactly does he expect? So many things wrong with todays performance a lot of which the manager and coaching staff need to take the blame for and some things the players. Firstly did we scout the opposition? Anyone who's read about Partick under Caldwell knows hes played that formation yet we set out a 442 against them first half and were out of ideas with how to play through midfield. Why when it was clear to see we needed to change it did it take till the second half to make two subs? The substitutions were interesting i think clearly rooney was injured and wasn't tactical to play him ahead of rooney. Although with Donaldson pushing on and far more capable on the ball we'd have been better off playing him at RWB. Taking Mcdonald off disspointed me going 3 at the back could have been a positive attacking decision against a Partick side who weren't offering much going forward. We could have put mccauley on for him and left Chalmers in the middle but no we played the worst Wing back partbership I've ever seen. When the second half started Jamie Mccart was playing as the right centre half thankfully this was corrected by management after he tried cutting back in and nearly lost us possesion but where was the forsight? The final sub could have and should have been for a defender why take Austin off 2 down and chasing the game? Crowds are negative and do pick on certain players; Polworth and White but only due to the fact we know they are capable and should be doing better. Would struggle to give out pass marks to anyone today. Mackay in goals bar maybe coming for the 1st, Mccart sloppy in possession but swept up well at times and i would struggle to mention anyone else.

  13. the fans want to support the team but come on that was woeful today two silly goals heads went down no leadership pointless blaming the fans they pay good money to watch this sad when mom is named when only on 20 mins we seem to be lacking width nearly every home game com on give us something to get the fans excited again

  15. Poor team selection, poor tactics, poor application and poor, verging on irrational substitutions. The only comfort we can take is that our rivals for that final play off, which appears now to be our only realistic target, fared no better. However, even that final play off place will be beyond us if we continue to play as badly as that. On current form, Brad McKay is not a Championship level player.

  16. You would be hard pressed to see a worse game of football anywhere today . Absolutely shocking no wonder the stands were empty. One team completely played a hapless referee with their time wasting and gamesmanship the other tried to play route one football very badly and could not muster one decent passage of play the whole 90 minutes. Roberston talks of mounting a promtion challenge then delivers this utter garbage .

  17. A shocking performance with Brad Mackay at fault for both goals.Never looked like winning this game. No pass marks for anyone except goalkeeper Mackay who had a couple of great saves

  20. That's as bad a performance as I can remember. Just when you think we might have turned the corner, we manage to produce a truly woeful performance. I can't remember their keeper making a save. I have said it before, Robbo doesn't have a plan B, and it's obvious now that he doesn't have a plan A either. It was the wrong team selection and wrong tactics. The game was crying out for width and he flooded the midfield with central midfielders, we were so narrow. We were second to every ball and made a poor Partick team look good. And for Robbo to blame the home support is totally unacceptable, give the fans something to shout about and they will react, and to swear at the fan for expressing his opinion is unprofessional. It's very hard to pick a man of the match, the only time we played any decent football was on the lead up to our goal, why couldn't we do that more often? Robbo's subs were baffling today, only he could leave Brad on while others were hooked. Surely we can't play any worse this season, but I wouldn't like bet on it.

  21. If Robertson said that he has gone way down in my estimation. Trying to deflect the blame from himself even though his team selection, tactics and substitutions were horrendous. There was absolutely nothing to get the fans excited about watching that today. Taking on a centre half and defensive midfielder when we are two down hardly helps. Embarrassing comments from the manager.

  24. Aimless punting balls forward in old school 442 formation. Apparently it is Jose that football has left behind. People keep asking why people are staying away. Half way through the first half I suspect most at the game wish they had.

  25. Having safely got home having a glass of red all is at peace in the world the sh----t that I had to endure for 90 mins is now thing of the past or until the next home game. What is going on they are not a team they look like a group of strangers.

  26. Have to agree that was the worst performance at home so far. Lost soft goals and never created any chances. Scrambled goal to give us some hope with 12 mins left however you didn't think we could do it. There keeper didn't have a save to make. Very disappointing following good win at Ayr.

  27. Not sure which peed me off the most today - Partick's unsporting behaviour (that's putting it VERY politely - aka dirty, cheating b******s) or the referee or taking Rooney off and leaving Mckay on
    2 points
  28. Not up for the game from the start whole team awful 1st half. The whole bloody lot of them need to take a look at themselves. Partick niggled & fouled, wasted time whole we were taken for a bunch of amateurs. Not good enough!!

  29. A shocker. It was bad enough starting with 4 central midfielders but to then take Trafford on at half time and put Joe Chalmers left midfield was a joke. McCauley should of been the one to come on. Where was Brad Mckay supposed to be playing second half? Our shape was horrendous. Let's hope Tremarco is back soon because Kevin Mchattie was woeful. Robertson got things majorly wrong today.

  31. He has a point. It was clearly poor support that led to his centre half to dither then fall over the ball for the second goal. Come on people. We need to step up and avoid us letting Robo down again!

  33. We discovered today that the guy who runs the cheese stall in our local market is thinking of jacking it all in after Brexit. He has been a stallholder for 25 years. He is Dutch, and was telling us that twice a year he would have to go to the Dutch embassy in London and fill in a dozen forms about his business. Not to mention all the extra checks that he would have to go through whenever he makes a trip to France and the Netherlands to collect cheese, as he does every week or two. So going home to NL and selling his cheese there is currently very attractive to him. The stallholder next to him is Belgian, and is thinking of going home too. After 30 years in England. His wife is English, but would take out a Belgian passport if she can. In addition to the headline-grabbing losses, it will be a myriad "little things" like this that will make the UK a poorer place after Brexit.

  49. Welcome to the ICT Supporters Trust sub-forum of CTO. Setting the scene for what we hope will be a valuable addition to this excellent site is a message from ICTST Chair Stewart Murdoch. “May I Introduce myself. My name is Stewart Murdoch and I have taken over as the Chair Person for Inverness Caledonian Thistle Supporters Trust (ICTST), formally Caley Jags Together (CJT). In the Last 6 months Donald Johnstone has led the supporters trust to a point where we are now working with the rules set in place and our own website established. We thank him for his guidance and leadership through this period. The future vision is to work with you the supporters and the club to make match day experiences better and work towards bringing your issues and concerns to the club. ICTST wishes to have the community at its heart and hopes to support those in need where we can. We are grateful to CTO and Scotty for setting up this sub-forum to allow the reporting of and discussion on the Trusts activities. Peter Mutton, our Vice-Chair will be taking the lead on behalf of the Trust on this site. Peter is a regular contributor to CTO who many of you will know better as "Doofers Dad". Peter will be monitoring the wider CTO site and looking to pick up on issues of concern to fans. Other Trust Board members will be doing the same on other social media sites. In this way we will be able to identify which are the key concerns we need to discuss with the Club on behalf of the supporters. We may also use this site from time to time to ask for your views on specific issues We thank you for your support and input into to both ICTST and the football club. Regards Stewart Murdoch Chair Person, ICTST” As Stewart says in his introduction, this sub-forum is specifically for issues relating to the Supporters Trust and will allow threads relating to the Trust to be kept together. You will see that a small number of relevant threads have been moved from the main Caley Thistle forum to here. New threads will be added in the near future as the new Board begins to move forward. Much of the work of the Board to date has been working on stuff in the background to get the Trust fit for purpose. This includes the establishment of the new website which can be found at https://ict.supporterstrust.org/. Whilst there is not yet much on the site, there is detail of who the Board members are together with a little bit about us all. More will be added as we move forward and we will use this forum to alert you to that.

Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.
