That's a very good article on ICT's new manager....not something you say about most of the newspapers these days....

Excellent article but quite literally the whole thing is no different to what a lot of us are saying or have said on various managerial threads

It's official. Robbo is not getting the job

He has left his last 4 teams under a cloud and it is felt that it is better to look forward rather than back. "he will not be interviewed for the post".

If the board aren't even giving Robbo an interview then that's a feckin joke. Archie Knox is a good assistant but............... :rotflmao:

I had a dream last night, Sutherland was standing on the centre spot the board were around him in a circle and the PA was playing Metallica's "Master of Puppets".

...but...could Robbo get along and co-operate with anyone aftyer having been top dog at Tulloch Stadium?

Maybe he would try hard since he needs work but in the long run does a leopard ever change his spots?--not when someone remarks..."ahem, your slip is showing.."

It's the old story also about "can you go back sucessfully?". You know that is a hard one but in general terms probably not IMHO.

iwould rather have knox over robbo anyday, think of the years of experience knox has even if he hasnt been a manager and he is brining in a scottish assistant, the board were never going to touch robbo as long as ds was there

I believe he was restricted on where Flybe fly to - unfortunately none of the candidates live near Exeter or Southampton.... :rotflmao:

Knox had a spell as Aberdeen manager in 1986 GUARANTEED

In 1980, Knox became assistant to Alex Ferguson at Aberdeen, helping the team to two Scottish Cups, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and subsequent European Super Cup in his three years with the Dons. In 1983, Knox returned to management with Dundee, where he would spend two-and-a-half years. A short spell back at Aberdeen followed, before following Ferguson to Manchester United in 1986, where he stayed until April 1991.
