Sure lots of the more experienced posters are frequent visitors but it was a first for me.

Slowly learning my way around the site and found my way into the archive section. Spent a fair while laughing as i read some very interesting posts from posters who have certainly changed their tune since then!!

Most interesting thread was "The Brewster Effect" started by Johnboy on 16th December 2007. The comments are very similar to those being made in threads about TN/MM and their impact. You can feel the love!

Just shows you what a very strange game football is, how fickle we punters are, how short our memories are, how easily punters turn on one time heroes and more worryingly how quickly things can change.

Worth a rake through the archives if you have the time.

You mean this (incidentally posted on the day of 10 man ICT 3 Celtic 2)?

"Brewster deserves a thread of his own - not just for today - but for the dramatic manner in which he has turned ICT fortunes round since his re-appointment.

He's managed to get that spirit back into the side again - they all work their socks off supporting each other now in a manner that was totally absent at the start of the season.

He's found a way of best utilising Niculae's undoubted skills... Thankfully he's re-introduced Rankin to the side. He has also adopted a much more thoughtful approach to substitutions.

Whether you were for or against his re-appointment to ICT you have to surely acknowledge the fact that he has transformed this football team...

Long may his reign here continue.... "

Well spotted Sorted....

Thanks very much.

Not intended to highlight you or anyone in particular Johnboy, just pointing out how things change and maybe putting some of the ridiculous abuse that our ex Manager has received on CTO in perspective.

No offence meant and apologise if this is how you see it.

Now Sorted, I hope our management team are not reading this.

All you have to do now is find the other 19 and you will realise being an ICT football fan does have it's ups and downs and very often, short memories!

I do think however, that TB is without doubt more mature as a person than CB. Unlike CB, he will be able to accept a situation and therefore address it.

When the newness wears off, he will still be able to freshen up the squad from both within and on the touchline and not as was seen from CB's last days, with a degree of fingers and arms being crossed.

His assistant must also play a more helpful part and therefore be worth more to him than CB's assistant.

Their collective standing in the game will, I hope, bring in new faces when the window opens, who would never consider us under CB.

All in all a better future for the club and the fans!

Now that is something for the archives in two years time!

No offence taken Sorted... Your right - football is a strange game and we punters are certainly fickle.

I didn't think the re-appointment of Brewster was a good idea at the time, but I was very impressed by the complete transformation in the team's form way back then.

Having said that I was as keen for a change as anyone else when we hit the bottom of the table with Brewster apparently clueless as to how matters could be turned around. There was strong evidence to suggest he'd lost the players' respect, and when that happens there can only be one outcome.

Hopefully TB & MM will steady the ship again after the Falkirk debacle and and that we will now see a more settled side capable of producing some consistency with their results over the next few games.

Cheers Johnboy. Suppose the point I was really hoping to make that it's time to stop the Brewster abuse on CTO. Almost every thread has some snide swipe by someone directed at him. Maybe a trawl through the archives might remind some that it was not always like that!
