Whilst I applaud any judge who jails Rangers fans, that was a strange and ill informed comment he made. What about the 1996 IRA bombing of Manchester city centre, injuring over 200 people, causing about £1bn of damage and requiring the complete reconstruction of a large area?

from what I can remember of 1996 Manchester you'd have struggled to cause ?10 damage to it....

Apart obviously from regret about the injuries caused (my dad was shopping in Manc that day, thankfully unharmed) the bombing allowed the council to rebuild the City centre and greatly improve it.
