You obviously had a more exciting afternoon than those of us who were at the game!

Just not enough though!

Playing catch up a bit with Highland League scorers, on 5 October Brad Mckay for Brechin, Iain Vigurs for Banks O’Dee and both Harry Nicolson and Josh Meekings for Clach.

Vigurs got another on 12 October, the only one I noted for that day in the HL.

Marley Watkins...legend.

Also from that 2015 squad, Graeme Shinnie got Aberdeen’s equaliser at Parkhead and Ryan Christie set Bournemouth on their way to beating Arsenal. Three results for underdogs. How we need that spirit now!

More mundanely, Matheus Machado for Montrose and Shane Sutherland scored a hat trick for Brora.

More cup final heroes had a great weekend, as Ryan Esson and Aaron Doran have got Strathspey off the bottom of the Highland League after they went to second bottom Rothes and hammered them 6-0, with Kieran Chalmers getting one of them.

Manny Duku for Hednesford Town  in the FA Cup 1st round at the weekend.  Any you can watch it here!

Quite a game too!  Hednesford were the lowest ranked team in the first round and Manny opened the scoring after just 4 minutes.  Hednesford went into a 3 goal lead only to be pegged back to 3-3 after 90 minutes.  With no replays this year, it went to extra time.  Hednesford got a 4th only for Gainsborough to draw level again and take it to penalties.  Hednesford got another early advantage only to finally lose the tie after missing the target 3 times and having 2 other penalties saved.

Manny was subbed in the 71st minute when Hednesford were leading 3-1 and was therefore blameless in the debacle that followed.
