The first chipper I went to after moving into Inverness in 1968 it was great ( no chipper in Fort Augustus) I used to get sent down for the family order 8 suppers in total we were not allowed chicken it was to dear then!

It is either the Jags parading a cup or Billy Smarts Circus - was always difficult to know.

It was a regular in Fort Augustus in the 60's when that would have been taken, you can see cabinet for the electric locks which were installed about 1965.  The white shop on the left was Leslie's (the spot to shop) and on the right was Macdonald's grocer, Macdougall's the butcher, Post Office and Macdonald's newsagent (and sweetie shop) Mrs Macdonald's husband Billy Macdonald run a mobile grocers and I think their youngest son played for Thistle in the late 70's.

I think Scott 11 was bought by someone from Fort Augustus to be renovated.

Not many photos of boats at the Anderson St Quay, if they were cars I could put a date on it!
