Is he past it? - In my opinion he is.

Contribution this season - Nothing worth mentioning. He has disappointed me so far this season.

Never was the quickest but looks to have lost a bit of pace despite looking physically better than previous years.

I don't think he slows the play down far too often. Still only 27 and would love to see him get back to where he used to be.. the return of his goal scoring exploits v County would be a great start.

Saw spaces and angles that, in his prime, others could benefit from.

The current bunch are decent Championship players but don't have his Premiership football brain.

...and yes, he might've lost a yard.

Struggling to impose himself whenever I have seen him , another lacklustre performance yesterday but who didn't.

Needs to do a lot better but due to our small squad will start more often than not.

Agree.  Better attacking players, like Billy Mckay not only find space for themselves, they create space for others by drawing defenders away from areas that players like Doran would be looking to run into.  I think that is one of the reasons that our midfield as a whole is contributing little to the goal tally.

To be fair, he was injured for the most part of last season. But I have to admit, he's not as agile as he was back a couple of seasons ago...not exactly banging them top bins from outside the box as much as he used to.
