I see the offical statement has come through regarding Dennis going out on loan to Queen of the South until Christmas.

Maybe allow him to regain a wee bit of confidence if he starts knocking in goals for them - he appears to need a bit of belief back again and this could do the job.

I think he'll do well in the first division. Pity it's not with us.

It's not often I find myself in agreement with Kingsmills.... and his comment here does nothing to change that scenario. <_<

Wyness was past his sell by date by the time he moved on to St Midden.

Good luck to him. I have a soft spot for QOS that developed over years of socialising with their fans so if he is somewhere other than ICT then thats a good one to go to. Him and Barry teaming up again, there should be a few goals in that !!!!

I have mixed feelings but overall, I am kind of happy he didnt come back here ..... I like Dennis. On and off the field he is a thoroughly top bloke and his status as an ICT legend is assured ... However, if he were to have come back for a 3rd stint at ICT, I think it could have tarnished the legend. I dont think he could be as good as his first spell at ICT, and although we have dropped a division - which might make life easier for him - the 1st is still a hard division so he wouldnt have been as good as his second stint either.

It kind of reminds me of the talk about Bobby Mann when he played in Barry's testimonial ... a lot of folk reminisced about how good he was in his heyday and how good he was in a one-off friendly bounce match, but if we had acted on that and signed him, we would soon have regretted it I think. same on this one I am afraid.

as long as he's past his sell by date when he plays us. personally i dont think he's past it at all, just needing regular games and confidence, something lacking at midden and when he left us

He was past his sell by date when he came back a few seasons ago. Great the first time round, absolutely rubbish now.

this could also be right, he is certainly a confidence player .... hopefully our current "confidence player", a certain Mr Barrowman got some of that last week.

I agree with that.... I met him once - a very likeable, straight laced bloke.

I'm not very happy with Absent Friend's somewhat suggestive topic title here.... <_<
