Value of ICT Players

What do people think are the values of the the players at ICT? The club has never sold a player for a large amount e.g. 200k (except for marius i think) I belive the next highest was mark brown. The reason i bring this up is that according the bbc website "St Johnstone could be forced to sell Murray Davidson to raise funds, with Wolves and Bolton interested in the ?750,000-rated Scotland squad midfielder. (Daily Mail)"

If this is the case then surely some of our players are worth similar amounts. When the club sells players, they need to take a firm stance and get what the player is worth. ICT is not a division 1 club anymore and are players are worth more!

Rated by who? A commodity (not a very nice name for a human being) is only worth what someone is willing to pay. First, let's see if anyone is willing to pay that for Davidson. also, who have we got close to international status? For reasons other than football, not Foran (who's too old for record-breaking transfers unfortunately) or Esson (same brackets). There's only really Hayes currently (Rooney soon out of contract, Ross still developing into what he will become). Had he played and wowed most games this season, perhaps we could have been looking at some gold. Unfortunately, it's been an injury-ravaged season. Can't see anyone else worth much unfortunately.

Yup - agree with that but would expand on it by saying that the buyer also considers what they think the other team might accept .....

If a team was willing to pay 500,000 for someone like Hayes for example, I cant see them bidding that much ... they might offer 100K and see if ICT accepted it ... if they did not then the bidders can always come back and up the offer incrementally until it reaches a point where they pull out because it is beyond what they were willing to pay.
