Yes it seems inevitable, but I wonder how long they will wait? It’s Saturday itself that will see the really bad weather across Scotland.

Well I am travelling up from Yorkshire for the game and can cancel the accommodation by 3pm on Friday so fingers cross we know by then

No matches called off (yet) and ICT have just posted their match preview a few minutes ago. All very surprising when the police are advising against travelling tomorrow.

Is it really that surprising?

With the length of the journey, the team may well have travelled down today.

The amber warning applies to part of the A9 (and doesn’t come this far north so hopefully we miss it) and Dumfries is looking to be wet tomorrow on my weather app and it’s been above freezing today.

With it being a plastic pitch it may well be playable.

We have some momentum just now so I hope the team is already on route and the game is on.

FFS: Does that mean I'll have to do a preview now. C'mon Bert...

I've just recieved a message saying my return train trip back to Glasgow via Carlisle is cancelled [I booked via Carlisle as it was a quicker return trip...shows what I know] ... and the options direct to Dumfries then back look like they will experience delays...so with just hours to cancel my hotel for free and cut my losses, I need to make a decision quick!

Assuming you are travelling back after the game, there is a bus that leaves Whitesands in Dumfries at 1745 and gets to Glasgow at 1955, Stagecoach Service X74.

With the snow due to turn to rain, hopefully it will not be affected by weather disruption.

The Met Office have now issued an amber warning for Dumfries and Galloway from 0700 to 1200 tomorrow.

Well we now know the answer, they will wait til the team are already there (and have spent thousands on a hotel), and the supporters are most of the way there.

Fortunately, I cancelled last night, as I got several messages saying trains I had booked were cancelled, so got those refunded and avoided the Hotel costs. not much I can do about the flight costs, but hey ho....presumably the match when it is played will be mid-week, so depending when,  I might come up all the way by train and stop in Dumfries
