How come we dont have a video / dvd of our promotions through the years especially of the first division title or the consequtive scottish cup semi-final runs we had, when there was always cameras at games,

is it tv rights ect. or costs :024:

the only sort of official video i have of caley is the 3-1 win over celtic, would love to see more titles available

Good question there mate, at bristol Rovers FC you can buy a DVD of each game, they have an independent company that does the filming. Extended highlights are shown in the Bar after every home match. Are there rules that mean this could not be done at Caley matches if a market was there for it.

It's a nightmare to fight through the copyright issues.  Doesn't mean it can't be done though.  :004:

The copyright is not a huge issue if ICT film it themselves as media rights are negotiated on a non-exclusive basis that gives clubs rights over their own footage. However, getting footage from other companies for DVD highlights would be a total nightmare.

One of the things I am currently pushing the club about is media rights - especially as it relates to the blocking of games for overseas fans - and if this is successful, then you might find that ICT end up with a section on their website where fans can subscribe to watch highlights of all their games ..... just like RedTV on the Aberdeen site or Killie World on the Kilmarnock site !

I have the night to remember video too .... just cant play it on a north american video recorder  :015: :015: must get it converted sometime
