Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final

Raith Rovers have won 2-1 away at Partick Thistle so will be our opponents if we win on Sunday.

Must admit I’m glad Partick are out given our record against them this season.

To those thinking of boycotting please please think of the other players here! Boycotting wont make one scrap of a difference to the SFA. We dont get to many cup finals so lets get behind the boys and

  • Aitken should be dragged in to offer a personal apology to Keatings for that rotten decision.

I’ve now watched the two incidents on tape and both confirm what I thought at the time: it was not a dive and it was a goal.

The Rangers no 8 held his hands up so he knew he’d made contact and was hoping the ref would not give a foul against him.

Hopefully the appeal is successful. If not, is it just the final Keatings will miss it will he also be suspended for Friday night’s game in Dundee?

Well in this case the ref made it harder for us by his inept performance.

Lucky  your buddy wandered in off his wing to trundle one past the baby Huns.

Only cup games affected, but the appeal if made will be successful as its absolutely clear that no dive was intended

Once they leave Ibrox because Sevco have splurged millions of funny money on expensive signings leaving no place for them, I hope some of that Sevcolts team find their way to TCS.

I thought Aitken has been one of the better referee's we've had this season.

We shall wait and see how well he does when the votes are cast for this game

I'd much rather our own "colts" find their way into the first team, at TCS!

Tbf, the kid who scored against us was pretty good all game, wouldn't be surprised if Robbo's put him down on a shortlist for summer window talks with Stevie G...

Just watched the game on catchup, was really impressed with how the kids passed the ball around. Made to work hard for this one. Ref was shocking but glad the club is appealing Keatings red card. As for the away support, half must have come from Inverness and the rest from Moray and Peterhead.

There were some impressive performances in that Colts side. Don't forget they beat good English National League sides in Solihull Moors and Wrexham  to get to the semi. Some of those lads will go on to be stars and rightly so. I just hope it's not at that poor excuse for a football club.

One other thing I noticed at the end of the game, those young lads went over to applaud the local plastic Sevco fans but most had already left by then.

So another Challenge Cup final, we love it. Raith Rovers will be no push over and it should be a cracker of a game.

Fairly large 'away' support given the competition and conditions - probably would have been more if the zombie senior game hadn't been moved to the Sunday - an indication of the difficulty ICT has to entice home fans when there is such a local number of OF followers.

Ref was very poor as were his assistants. Its ironic the media and fans (zombies) complain there is a bias against them   yet never acknowledge the sheer influence they have playing anyone else.

Pleased with the result and performance given teh conditions and it feels like we have done our wee bit (again) for the whole of Scottish football and maybe even humanity slaying a zombie uprising!!!!

The most dignified result here would be for Aitken to apologise after seeing the foul on Keatings which resulted in a second yellow and to say that in the rain and wind there may have been an error on the disallowed goal but in real time he felt the decision was fair.

As for the football played by Rangers, that was potentially a very good work out for Dundee United. Regardless of bias towards the club, the Colts played to a very high standard in quite appalling conditions and as Robbo said, were unlucky not to get to the final.

One thing I find interesting is that we and the Rangers first team were subject to debatable referee decisions yesterday. Our fans think the ref is inept, their fans think it's a conspiracy against their team!

Well done to our team, there must be a lot of tired legs this morning.

Downside: No matter, a one goal win against a team of kids is nothing to shout home about.

Upside: It is highly probable that most of them are earning as much if not more than our guys. Another cup final which is very winable. Well done guys in what could have been a banana skin. 👍

Poor refereeing decisions can and do cost games and on another day rwo absolutely abysmal errors by the officials could well have cost us our place in the final of this competition and a modest but, in our current circumstances, essential boost to our coffers.

We didn't 'bottle' it. We overcame a very talented and rather highly paid development team of a club with close to twenty five times our income in horrendous weather conditions and in the face of two terrible officiating decisions one of which deprived us of a penalty and a player for a large chunk of the second half and the other of a perfectly valid goal.

A little more positively on reaching a national final might not go amiss.

I mean, I'm glad that we're back in the final, by all means. But to say that it's an easy win, when we had said that about the Colts game...

Going by the red dots on this post, Storm Dennis also whooshed a few people in here over the weekend 😂

Wee cup final like this gonna do nothing for the coffers Robbo needs to do what he should've done the 1st season and get us promoted if not he should pack it in and let somebody else have a pop decent thing to do since we plucked him from decade long retirement ! Well chuffed we won but every week now somebody moaning bout poor refs it's swings and roundabouts some u get others u don't our main downfall has been the same for years now can't kill teams of no goalscorers

The red dots are for the misplaced apostrophe!

Now I'm disappointed I can't red dot myself 😞

I've not seen it confirmed anywhere but one of The Terrace lads is saying that our appeal against the second yellow shown to Keatings has been dismissed.

ETA: The S*n are now reporting it.
