I would have taken a draw before the game, but Dunfermline were poorer than expected and what with the other results, I am now really disappointed. We started brightly and to be fair, there was good commitment, throughout the team till the final whistle. When Dunfermline pressed us in midfield we often played some pretty neat stuff to keep possession under pressure. The trouble is, we created next to nothing and there is a worrying lack of inventiveness. Even when there is a shooting opportunity they pass rather than have a pop. We have to take a few more risks up-front. Billy has a poor record of taking penalties. Credit to him for standing up and taking responsibility but surely we must have others in the side who can hit the ball harder and closer to side of the goal. Highlight was Devine's brilliant block on the line. Superb! And whilst we on the positives, that result extends our unbeaten run to 3 games.7 points

And Samuel certainly put himself about, I sat next to two guys who had come up from Manchester [not ICT fans, just Ground hopping] and they felt he was perhaps MOTM for effort, really frustrating that Mckay had his penalty saved [he has form]. I thought Kerr looked at ease in midfield [looks like he will have to stand in for Gilmour for a while] as did McAllister [although he turned into people a few times]. Savage won lots of headers, but seems short of pace. Harper was pretty good down the left, and was found often with long balls cross field. As for Devine he had monster game in defence and three headers over the bar from our corners [good that he got to them, less good that he was off target each time. Shaw should really be on a wing full time IMV Good news that we have Anderson back next match, kinda think we were a bit quick to let Bray go out on loan A real kick in the teeth that Cillian Sheridan scored one and made two for Queens Park last night...mad that Dundee United lost at home, and Partick not showing good form at all, both results benefitting our immediate rivals Now that Austin Samuels is finally fit, could he give us half a dozen 'purple patch' games My gut feeling is we will be safe....but it wont be comfortable It was a quick trip up for me, I was on the 6:35 out of Inverness Airport this morning, next Dundee United away!5 points

I thought for the first 10 minutes we were really good and thought I was at the wrong stadium .Then Dunfermiline got stuck in and it became a bit of a slog.We still had some nice touches and I think this team play better football than last seasons group.Yes of course we cannot score, which baffles me,but lady luck is not on our side either.Had Billy scored tonight the comments from some would have been different. We have drawn with Partick who are third, Dunfermline who were sixth I think and Arbroath who are bottom,so not end of the world stuff. I said if we get four points out of last night's game and at Morton we will be doing well. Well now we will have to beat Morton!! A bit of positivity helps the team and for me Kerr was standout as was Devine.Samuel is a warrior ip front. Finally,I think the loanees have shown real grit and determination and need to be cut a bit of slack.5 points

Considering how much the Tories have abused people in the UK I couldn't care less. Not even remotely in the ball park of an innocent child being harassed because his dad kicked a ball wrong.4 points

I'm not calling for the managers head however the longer things go on the worse we get. If you remove the new manager bounce where we picked up 12 points from 7 matches we've then picked up just 11 points from our next 12 which is relegation form. Since we were able to make signings on January our point per game has been decreasing, we've come out of January with a weaker squad than the one that started the month. The board and manager need to take the blame for that.4 points

Kerr easily my POM. Gave everything in midfield - and won most of it too! Felt like McAllister was trying too hard to impress and as a result kept giving away possession. Don't doubt his ability, just need a cool and composed head in midfield right now, not one who tries for the matchwinner every time he gets the ball. Think it would have helped if he'd someone guiding him a bit. Samuel is some fighter. Immense - but relied on him for lead-up play and he barely (ever??) got a touch inside the box. Would sign him in a flash if an option, but sadly suspect that he'll get much better options than us in the summer. Billy Mckay cost us the win? Nope, and I'm appalled that anyone says as much, and even more disgusted if they directed it to his family. Amazing goal line clearance by Devine when it seemed certain we'd go behind, I celebrated it like a goal and was not alone. Think it's fair to say that other than the penalty, our next best chances were 3 headers from Devine from corners, all of which were off target. Overall a strange one. No lack of effort, but no real threat, as the stats say. When our bench is 4 attacking players and a goalkeeper, I'm left wondering if we've gone too far in letting basically all of our own youngsters go out on loan.4 points

Who are the absolute cretins within our support that forced Billy Mckay to post this on X "Not big on social media, obviously gutted I’ve cost the boys 3 points tonight hold my hands up! And listen I’m happy to take abuse or criticism at me no problem had it plenty of times in my career. But to shout my son then abuse me to him I don’t think is acceptable.4 points

Most problems at the club have come via Gardiner . He is the root of the problems at the club and if Morrison keeps backing this guy then afraid he needs to go too as between them are ruining the club and only pulling it backwards .4 points

Yep, On reflection and bearing in mind that it was a pretty make shift side we did no bad! Pity about Billy's pysh penalty where he did it all wrong, As we said for most of the game that 1 goal would probably been enough for 3 points. Alex Samuel did a power of work but didn't see a lot of support for him, Duffy did ok considering he's no trained for weeks, And i'm thinking Savage is looking fine in defence where he reads the game pretty well. As for Devine's heading ability.. ouch! Even Carragher had a good chance with a header blasted well wide, So onto Morton game, I think it will go one of two ways, First is a bit of a mauling where that useless dumpling for us and goal merchant for them will score a couple for a big win. Or.. we play our hearts out and snatch a welcome win with Samuel getting a late winner!3 points

The core issue is that the club has been mismanaged off field to the worrying extent that our mere existence is at risk. I suspect that Dunc was CEO showboating and always short term in nature or basically deflect the fan attention to the footballing aspect and allow the real clowns to feck things up. Feels like we are on a Traitor type game and the majority of the fan contestants have been duped and can't recognise who they are. Can you not imagine them in the turret laughing at us and planning more self-preservation plans.3 points

Ferguson really is awful in front of the camera. Making light of the situation while laughing and smiling away without a care in the world. His apparent disconnect from how poor we are is worse than Dodds. Are we adding something to the water at the stadium?3 points

It's going to be difficult to avoid play offs. As others say, the club is going backwards with no sign of any desire from the top for anything to change. Desperate and depressing times.3 points

Very disappointing only taking 2 points from these last two games - my increasing worry now is whether we’re capable of beating Hamilton, or anyone else from League One, in a playoff3 points

This season is all about survival. We saw some hopeful signs in the first six games after Ferguson came in but we’ve struggled to pick up results since then. We don’t know what remit he was given regarding the January transfer window but clearly the net impact has reduced our wage bill. I think we’ve put too many of our younger players out on loan, as we could do with some of them now, and it would give them good experience. Ethan Cairns has been scoring for fun at Banks O’Dee and, whilst the Championship is a big step up, who’s to say he couldn’t be an impact sun for us? Similarly we were impressed by Keith Bray and Robbie Thompson earlier in the season, and both are playing for League 2 teams just now. They are options we don’t have because of their loans. We again seem to have a disproportionate number of injuries. Some have been sheer bad luck (Samuel’s hand, for example), whereas other players seem very injury prone. Last night, Duffy, Shaw and Samuel had all been doubts, so may not have been fully fit. Shaw didn’t last the whole game and it looked like Duffy would need to come off after picking up a bad knock before half time. At times we play well and are very competitive, but we tend to lack a cutting edge. What I will say is that when we do score, there seems to be a good camaraderie between the players, whether signed or on loan. Lets be realistic, we cannot afford to part with Ferguson, unless he himself wants to move on. Whilst I’m worried about how this season will end (both on and off the park), I feel we should get behind Ferguson and the players, and do our bit to ensure we finish no worse than 8th. It was sickening to read that some “fans” turned on Billy Mckay and his son last night. Yes he had a poor penalty saved, but he has been immense for the club over many years and does not deserve to be on the receiving end of abuse. Those involved should be ashamed of themselves. Whatever happens over the next 10 weeks or so, there is a major rebuild needed in the summer and potentially a chance for some of our promising youngsters to step up and become important players for us. Lewis Nicolson will hopefully be fit for pre-season and ready to slot in at left back or left wing back, allowing Cammy Harper (if we still have him) to move into midfield. Bray, Cairns, Thompson, Jack Walker and others may be ready to step up. Who knows, we may even get MacGregor fit. I’m told our Under 18 squad is good so we need to develop our youngsters and hopefully get some transfer income for some in the years to come.2 points

Disgraceful. Billy gives his all in every game. Behaviour like that will only drive him away from the club.2 points

I am now starting to think along the same lines here though I don't think he's solely to blame due to the crap he was left but he got rid of 2 of Dudds' best players so that's on him and wtf was his plan on signing numerous defenders NONE of who are better than we had so I'm afraid that this idiot is as much to blame as his predecessor so I'll say that if he keeps us up then it's miraculous because his stint here and in England proves that he just isn't a good manager though he can scrape results out of nowhere (not that these results are any use). So I'm not going to say Ferguson out YET but I'm getting bloody close, the man I want out is the clown Scot Gardiner because he is single handedly ruining our club and if Ross Morrison has any sense he'd have had enough and acted just like the fans supposedly were asking at the weekend!! What is even more annoying is that EVERYONE else we were linked with (Callum Davidson, Scott Brown and Doug Imrie) are all getting better results so that's another bit of proof of Messrs Morrison and Gardiner getting an appointment wrong and this isn't the first time!2 points

Scrappy game. Score the penalty early and probably a 1-0 win on the cards. Not to be and a stalemate ensued. In the circumstances Dunfermline ought to have went for it however despite a bit of late pressure couldn’t score either Bizaare we find ourselves with no midfield. We didn’t lose and a lot of effort from the team but needed a bit of quality. The proverbial relegation fight is on now…2 points

Tm4tj or Yngwie here is a positive post for you both Ok we are all used to short sightedness since ICT were born from various inept boards that’s something even the most fervent happy clappers can’t really argue with! Inverness is twinned with Augsburg in Germany has anyone from ICT ever thought of contacting FC Augsburg to strengthen the bonds further between the two cities. FC Augsburg are now an established bundesliga outfit would it not be great to get some of their fringe players over here to get game time it would greatly benefit both clubs. Their loanees would be far superior to the jobbers we attract from the Vauxhall conference or the seaside leagues. Even setting up pre season friendlies would be a positive first year in Scotland the next in Bavaria what’s not to like we could build up a strong firm friendship. ICT fans would travel for such a trip I know I would German beer and Bavarian women are marked upgrades for a start. Thoughts? Dougal1 point

We have form with this the last few years. polworth was getting vicious abuse from some “ fans” , so bad that he started back at them during the match. vigurs got it when playing for other teams last season I had a couple of mature “gentlemen” a few rows in front of me in the north stand giving Douglas Ross mp/ msp abuse . He was main stand linesman that day and they started on him every time he came down the line towards the corner flag shouting from the right side of north stand. Some others were having a laugh at the abuse but it wasn’t what our young fans should be hearing from guys old enough be their grandad. I used to hear over the tannoy that anyone blah blah blah will be removed from the ground and the police may be involved. Remind me why we have a security team at games?1 point

They need pushed out , One especially who has done hehaw for the club but cause financial problems and leaves a trail of destruction behind him . Board need to waken up and get rid . SG you’re not worth a minimum wage to this club . Never seen such a hated board director which in itself says it all . Majority of fans surely cannot be wrong . He’s holding on hoping the Battery project goes through and even if it did , Majority of that money will be sucked up pretty quickly lining his pockets . You won’t see him out of pocket that’s for sure .1 point

His business in the January transfer was bizarre and I wish one if the reporters would question him on that so we can understand why. He has improved our points per game, but that bar wasn't very high and it may prove insufficient to keep us in the Championship. The club feels like it's at an all time low (on and off the park), but I see no value in punting him just now. We have been dealt our cards for the remainder of the season and we now have to hope that good fortune serves us up a few winning hands. Aside from that, if our finances are as bad as feared, then it could all be academic.1 point

We are in a real dog fight with a bunch of loanees who will be leaving in April. Will they go toe to toe against Morton, will they scrap for everything against a rejuvenated Queens, will they have the guile and wit to take points off Raith. Some have never experienced proper adults football. It looks more like our management team have totally underestimated this league.1 point

Two poor teams tonight. The penalty was our only real chance but we couldn’t take it. Devine made a miraculous clearance off the line shortly after the penalty. That apart, nothing of any real note. At least we didn’t do our usual and concede in the last 10 minutes. It was a patchwork side. Still 3 5 2 with Kerr in midfield, where I thought he’d a good game.1 point

BBC stats say 12 shots in total - 6 each - in the game. And only 1 on target - presumably the missed penalty. Commiserations to those of you who were there.1 point

Still find it bizarre we signed about 18 defenders in January when our defence wasn't that much of a concern and did precious little to strengthen our attacking options when we were so piss weak up front.1 point

Have a scramble on the pitch at half-time tonight? Should be lucrative for the few spectators there, and will possibly be the best action on the pitch.1 point

With the West Stand now being abandoned will the club finally designate an official singing/standing section? This way those who want to will know where it is and those who don't want to can (or will have no choice but to) move their season ticket seats.1 point

Looked like a rhetorical statement rather than a real question, in direct reply to the post above it. @lizi's post did refer to poor officiating on numerous occasions which is up for debate but as it is the match thread then I think that's fair. We don't like to see dangerous tackling go unpunished or being encouraged at best. Any ICT unfair bias is also up for debate as well, my personal viewpoint is that lack of quality officials as well as the hindrance of VAR on 'top level' ones is affecting the overall standard.1 point

Hi CT. might as well go off on a tangent here. Don't you think GT has had the most naturally talented back line a Scottish manager has ever had, and yet achieved nothing. Surely therefore it highlights poor coaching. The Scottish forwards woeful attempts at powering over from a yard has been their downfall for years and years. Their lack of guile and craft is shown up every match. Its all in the coaching. Whether it's the head coach, or the forwards coach, or the attacking coach, or all of them. So, to conclude on a Caley Thistle note, maybe Scott Kellacher is actually our problem, he has always been there.1 point
