Snow Alert

We are in the process of clearing the pitch for the game on Boxing day. If at all possible we would like this completed today - so if you can spare us an hour or so to lend a hand we would be very grateful. Just pop down to the stadium as soon as possible where a shovel will be provided.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Kenny Cameron has asked me to pass on this thanks to those volunteers who turned up today to help clear the pitch.

Despite the great work that has been done today, we still have some snow to clear. We will be starting again at 10am, so once again volunteers will be very welcome. Even if you can just spare an hour or so, it all helps.

And it's a great way to keep warm :-)

Well that's me safely back at the folks in Elgin, with full intentions to head through to Inverness on Sunday. The roads from Aberdeen were pretty good, as long as you stayed at a sensible 50mphish.

Looking forward to any updates on the game on/off status. I see Killie v. Hearts is called off...

Has the pitch been cleared?

Is there any more snow forecast?

What was it like going through (well round) Huntly and Keith?

Pitch looked clear when I went over the bridge earlier and the weather forecast is clear for the next couple of days. Cold obviously but no snow forecast.

Not that bad at all. Everyone was fairly sensible and kept their distances in case of a need for sharp breaking. Between 40 and 55mph was the norm all the way from Aberdeen, which meant a 2hr journey to Elgin.
