Very impressed with Davis and Chippendale has deffo potential - but how many share my concern that this pair may become first team starters shortly - are only here to the New Year - massive opportunity to both of the from their own personal perspectives but will again mean that some fo our local boys will be sitting on the bench.

It is a sign of the times but is SPL survival based on getting in own loanees at the expense of our home grown produce ?

Think its the nature of the beast IHE .....

Both are here to cover for longer term injuries to Hayes and Doran and I very much doubt either would have been signed if those two were fit. Do we have anyone in the squad, or in the reserves/U-19s who could fill those spots for 3 months on a regular basis ? Heck, for the last two gaames (and for some others) we haven't even been able to list a full bench.

Having them here until the New Year is a double-edged sword .... if they prove to be very good then we will miss them if the loans aren't extended, if they prove to just be comparable replacements then Hayes and Doran will come back and the whatever proportion of the wages we are paying will be off the books ..
