You could also get the Test Card during the day in the early years when transmission was only for a few hours a day - especially on BBC2. That wee girl is probably a great granny by now.

yes I  do but I wasn't as clever as you reviewing your effort  and looking at your thoughtful use of creases and design.  But the brown paper rings a bell or two.  During the war it was on books and in the bathroom.... wartime, and the succeeding years afterwards,  justified anything to save resources.
