  After some extensive research i can now give you an update on some of the characters you mentioned.

  Mr Coia was last heard of applying for a grant from Scottish Enterprise.  His idea was a simple one. He wished to open a modest studio manufacturing hand-painted decorative macrame walruses made entirely out of the cranial nerve-ends of Dutch surrealist painters. Good luck to him.

  Mrs Coia had taken the cerebral route and has just won a national competition for making the most 5 letter words out of the phrase " Barnaby's Unkempt Gristle". Something in the high 800s won I believe.

  Mr Taylor/ITN/Yompa/etc. took up the invitation to attempt a world record for Hanging Upside down from a tree without Dribbling. He is still there...........day 56 , and is reportedly now 5' 8" !!

  Mini Coia is researching hereditary characteristics..........and is just hoping
