Setanta on VirginMedia

Some info that might be helpful to a few people who subscribe to this.

About a year ago I subscribed to this when it was on offer at ?8/month, as I'm sure many others did. I got my latest bill today and saw it had gone up to ?15. Phoned up just to ask why it had gone up so much, and they instantly offered me it for ?9.99 instead, simple as that.

Yngwie, I have Virgin and dont pay for Setanta. I did when I got it first. I also have Sky Sports which I do pay for. About a year ago I got a letter telling me I would no longer have to pay for Setanta. My charges are TV xl package ?22....Broadband ?18....Phone line rental ?11 and Skysports ?18.

Yeah it's because I'm on the cheapskate free TV package rather than the top of the range one you've got! They decided to give free Setanta with that package last year, but for me it still isn't worth it as I'm not interested in the dozens of home makeover channels etc
