I know a lot of people are angry. Not only with Saturdays result, but because they feel that our performances haven't been what they should have for quite some time and because some feel that problems exist all over the place at the club which are dragging us down.

This thread isn't to argue about any of that or to give my view, it is simply to ask that we all take a little time to think about what we've just typed before we press the "Post" button.

A few posts in the last day or so have crossed the line from criticism into abuse. We don't allow users on this forum to go around name calling and being mindlessly abusive to each other and I think it only right that those same principals are applied when it comes to discussion about those involved at the club.

Most people are making genuine and reasonable points, but they are then losing them among the F'ing and Blinding and Name Calling. If I was the club and I was reading these forums then I'd find it easy to dismiss a lot of peoples opinions simply because of the manner they are being put across. So, if you want to increase your chances of someone actually paying attention, then let's try and keep the language in check....you can get a point across just as forcefully and pationately without resorting to vulgarities.

Thanks

I know that was TiC....but on a serious note, I want any problems/issues that exist at the club to be sorted out just as much as the next person. I just fear that turning up at the gates with pitchforks and shouting and hurling abuse isn't going to get us anywhere and will just force the club back into the boardroom instead of them coming out and talking with us.

Let's give it a chance, then if it doesn't work that way and there's no sign of anyone listening, then you can be sure that I'll be right up there at the front when it comes to leading a march on the stadium.

Very noble of you CaleyD

But your talking about your average football fan here, the word fickle springs to mind.

But its a very good point especially with the club looking like wanting to interact with the fans.

dont know whether to ;) or :rotflmao: :thumb04: :018:

This is supposed to be an independent site and peeple should be able to vent their feelings BUT it is becoming increasingly frustrating cos most of the avid and knowledgeable followers appear to be torn between loyalty to the club and an increasing dawning that something is seriously wrong - again.

It is, and they can, all we are asking is for them to do it with a bit of civility towards each other and in a manner that is not overly crude.

Totally support your stance CaleyD

Quite a lot of the posts are very juvenile and some posters clearly do not have a grip on reality.

All in favour of reasoned arguments and statements but not the ill-informed and abusive posts.

Yep - I'm in complete agreement too. There's nothing surer that folk being abusive to each other will make ordinary punters just switch off.

The big attraction of fans' forums is the craic and the good points that can be made. Not nice when people start falling out.
