 SLIGO Rovers have completed the signing of well-travelled striker Eric Odhiambo, an Oxford-born Kenyan international(!)

And lo and behold, today he signs for Sligo Rovers, who are claiming that he was capped for Kenya!

I see RTE have since amended that article to remove any reference to Kenya, after comments pointing out the error.

Really on the whole, he wasn't very good was he?

 

Nothing special at all. Had a bit of pace perhaps?

 

Hard to believe he's still only 24, he seems to have been around forever. Onto his 8th club now (including loans) and ICT is the only spell that appears to have been successful.

 

One thing I've learnt is that his new club Sligo are known as the "Bit o' Red". An interesting nickname, and one which Invernessians could have borrowed back in 1994......
