So I can start planning for a non car driving day. When can we expect the final info about the feckin kick off - surely given it is us and the Wheel lovers it has to be a traditional Saturday at 3 pm ?

It's already been given as 3pm.

Worth checking rail travel as there is quite a lot of engineering going on that weekend. There are nae trains from Falkirk to Glasgow, for example! Joined-up Scotland, eh?

It will, for once be a traditional 3PM kick off.

Speaking of tradition, given that there are likely to be 15,000 empty seats and no history of animosity between the clubs, how about having a neutrals area with traditional cash turnstiles to encourage anyone who fancies, even at the last minute, coming along for an entertaining day out in the sun...

Given its a Saturday I suspect there'll be enough trains scheduled to run but they'll likely strengthen them to handle additional demand.

I wonder if they will do any special trains specifically for the football fans like they did last year?

Do you mean for the league cup final?

When it was St J v Dundee Utd in last year's SC, Network Rail arranged engineering works for cup final day and closed the line between Perth and Glasgow.

They did special trains for Saint Johnstone and Dundee United fans last year as well and routed them through Fife then across via Linlithgow I think.
