I predicted this happening after the call of of saturdays game at fir park. And now, I look like my finger is on the pulse!! :crazy07:

Pity just because of one bad experience with an already very poor pitch.

Perhaps it would have been better to ground share with two clubs and change at the end of the year.

I see the re-arranged Gretna game scheduled for tonight has been called off again.

The problem in this case is not ground sharing, it is the condition of Fir Park.  The pitch is actually being used less this season than it has in the past because all Reserve and Youth Fixtures are being played elsewhere which means that it doesn't get used outwith league/cup games.

The SPL never wanted ground sharing in the first place, that is obvious.  This just gives them an excuse to put an end to it and maintain another aspect of the Self Preservation attitude that exists.

They would be as well opening up the league to all clubs who have a "compliant" stadium and then doing away with promotion and relegation because if they go back down this route then it is a huge backwards step.  Just when it looked like the league might have been slowly moving away from it's "farce" status, some clown comes up with a way to undo all the positive work.

To be fair I believe that had we continued to play at Aberdeen there may have been similar problems. I also think that this seasons weather is a lot to blame. Since the seasons start we haven't had much in the way of warm dry weather. Growth in the grass stopped earlier than normal and hasn't really started again yet. Most other pitches are suffering the same effects, including Ibrox and our own.

This means that not all the teams in the ist diviosn wanting to get in to the spl!!

That could be good or bad news!!
