I'm just watching the Ireland V England rugby game (there's no football on) and I'm thinking that there's a few good ideas in Rugby that could happen in football:

1. You can hear the ref so you can find out why he made the decision.

2. I think the sin bin is a good idea. Players have have committed minor offences can be sent for 10 mins to cool down.

3. I'm sure they use video and with any big incidents the ref can refer to video.

ps I hope this is in the righ topic

aye.

In England there is a bar in some of the stadiums.

The mixed fans is also a good thing but It wouldn't work in football as fans are too violent.

Rugby is a gentleman's game.

We've got the Old Filth to blame for that. Never a problem with other fans. Well, except Caley and Elgin.

I mean that the people that go to rugby matches act civilized...

I disagree with this.

I was at the Scotland v Italy Rugby match at the weekend and also go to many Scotland football games.

The tartan army are loud and boisterious but (with the odd exception) are well mannered and curteous.

A large majority of the rugby fans that I witnessed at the weekend were p1ssed toffs, allowed out for the day by the Mrs and behaved like a lot of the drunken, once a year drinker, idiots that you see around Christmas time.

The sort that think as they are in a group, drinking and have money that they can act however they want. Talking down to other spectators, bar, restuarant and hotel staff, etc. (and don't start me on the way they talk to women).

And if it wasn't this sort - the f**king stuck up, little rich kid students p1ssed me off too.

Yup I'm turning into Victor Meldrew me-thinks.

The game itself was entertaining and I really enjoyed it but I doubt I'll be back to a six-nations game (at least in Scotland) in any hurry.

Now stroll on the Holland v Scotland World Cup qualifier!

OH YEEESS!
