Recordin Internet Radio Broadcasts?

Ok folks....hope am not leaving this too late. On MFR tonight, they are bradcasting the whole u2 gig live from Sheffield. Would i be able to record this from the internet? If so....how and what do i need? (assuming its free!)

Play it through your PC, and place a cassette recorder in front of the speakers?

I can't tell you how to record U2, because that would be illegal.

However, if you were wanting to do general recording on your computer then you can't really go wrong with a programme called Audacity

Lets assume I have audicity How would one go about recording.....lets say, a radio programme?

audacity is a great program and the one we use - with permission - to do our audio files. Its great, you just set it up to record from whatever "device" is setup on your system and it grabs it with no problem.

not sure of the maximum file size or exact settings I use as I am at work, but its fairly intuitive and I think has a good support forum ........
