To be perfectly honest I would take a point at the moment. We didnt look that good at Morton and Queens are a far more difficult opposition away from home.

Losing or drawing tomorrow would not be the end of the world - there are lots of points to play for before the end of the season.

I just really do not want it to go to the last game of the season.

I'm confident with out being to over confident! I'm sure everyone here thinks we will win the league but at the moment it could only take for us to draw 1 game out of the next 3 to make it a last day decider. Like I said on another thread Sat is Dundee's best chance to drop points as I feel if they beat Partick then they will go on to beat Morton and Raith twice. We don't want to get to above ourselfs or cocky thinking it's in the bag as it could come back to bit us in the arse like it did to Dundee and their over confident fans.

Lets take it one game at a time, starting on Sat! If we win on Sat that would be a huge step towards the title!

You are not being confident at all, you are being cautious.

Definition for confident.

confident definition

con?fi?dent (k?n′fə dənt)

adjective

full of confidence; specif.,

assured; certain confident of victory

sure of oneself; self-confident; bold a confident manner

OBSOLETE trustful; confiding

Confident means assured, certain what you are saying is that nothing is assured or certain. It is, by definition, not possible to be "over" confident, over confidence and confidence are the same thing as you cannot be any more certain than certain. You are either certain we will win it (confident) or you are not certain.

Quoting dictionary definitions...that's pretty cool :rotflmao:

I am sure we will win the league but going about saying it's over and we have already won it can only lead to us looking stupid if results don't go our way, just look at what happened to Dundee. We don't want to become complacent, better teams than us have lost bigger leads in the past. We need to take it one game at a time as the league is not over untill its over! Lets start by taking care of our own games one at a time and going into them persuming Dundee are going to win their games, if we can win the next three games then other scores become an irrelevance but untill then we can not go about saying we have it won already.

I keep reading that WE need to take one game at a time, it makes me wonder if the authors are members of the first team squad because I am confident that we, the fans, will have little bearing on the outcome of this league championship. If we, the fans, were to have any significant bearing then it will be through the vocal support given to the team from the terraces and I cannot think of a better way to prepare ourselves than being confident in the ability of our team to win this championship. Take one match at a time and prepare for that match by building the mental state of confidence and blind trust, what's the harm? Looking a wee bit foolish in front of people who you couldn't give a sh!t about? You are too sensitive mate, too sensitive.

The team are the ones who need to look no further than the next match and Butcher and Mo are the guys who should be keeping them focused.
