Polls are in the usual place ..... see the match report or the POLL on the right side of the page on the main site. - the early start meant I didnt start my usual matchday thread with links, vbut hopefully normal service resumed next week

Forgive my apparent lack of site awareness, but I'm logged in and can't find the PoY voting poll. is there another way to access it???

In that very spot I get "Poll not available. This may be because you are not logged in, because there are no current polls, or because voting is now closed for this poll", even though I am logged in.

Can you try logging out of the site and logging back in again using the links on the frontpage?

Meanwhile I'll investigate this end.

Did that, and the poll now appears.

However, it didn't register my votes. I got a "success" message after submitting, but it didn't take me to the poll results. I went to them afterwards and my votes were not reflected.

Oh, and in the vote for 3rd place, No1 in the drop down list is Mark Brown.

Looks like Firefox wasn't liking the call for the pop-up which it uses to record the results (Especially if you had pop-ups blocked as it wasn't even giving the message).

I've altered the settings so it no longer uses pop-up.  Hopefully this will have fixed it.

Finally made my votes but had similar problems: I had to log out then log back in again. Thanks for the advice.

Hopefully the log out/in should be a one off requirement and just a ghost from the changes we made to the site recently.

If it happens again we'll have Feb8th2000 Exorcise it  :015:

The LOGIN/LOGOUT issue is one thing that unfortunately will not go away and happens because we are using two different systems for the site and the forum which were not designed to work together.

We have a 'bridge' in place which means you are logged into the site when you login to the forum and vice versa but for some reason it sometimes doesnt log you into everything. The other alternative is to have everything completely separate and that would be worse !

we will continue to look for a solution - but it wont be a quick one !

YES-THE LOG-IN IS THE ONLY THING THAT OICCASIONALLY STILL THROWS ME A CURVED BALL.

ONE GOOD THING i NOTICE NOW, HOWEVER, IS THE  QUESTIUON--DO YOU WEWANT TO BE LOOGED IN FOREVER. aNSWERINHG YES SOLVES ALL THE PROBLEMS AND YOU ALWAYS ARE LOGGED IN WHENEVER YOU ACCESS THE SITE.
