Just got a txt from TB - "Thanks IHE - indebted - TB " :rotflmao: :thumb04: :018: ;)

I feel soooooo relieved IHE's in charge on matchdays. Bet no one saw that coming!

I was concerned, to say the least, when I saw the starting line up but that was the most spirited ICT performance since the opening day of the Season at Pittodrie.

Imrie had one of his best ever games in an ICT shirt and Mihajuks gets better and better. Despite Falkirk's shock win over Aberdeen we will escape relegation if we can keep up this level of commitment until the end of the season.

De-fecking-lighted, for the first time in months. The team are playing for each other, there are signs of a team who can beat the drop and we once again have a manager who knows how to scream instructions at his players through the match. De-fecking-lighted.

Take a bow Lionel. Well done son after the slagging you have received on here, you put in a decent shift despite the ginger whinger turning you inside out once or twice. But you stuck to your task and gave it everything, good on you.

My MOTM....the team!

They worked their socks of and thoroughly deserved the point. Hopefully this is a turning point. There was definitely a real team spirit; better communication (on the field and from the bench), better work effort, less arguing.

Looks like a week of positive posts on this site, when was the last time we had that :rotflmao:

Pwoud, vewy pwoud. Great fun going past the away end back to the car, with the TB bandage on.

BTW surely the ref should have booked McGeady for one of his two dives in the middle of the park. If he didn't deem either of them to be fouls then he clearly dived.

Obviously it's not nearly as nerve-wracking watching the game in the north stand as all you folks with setanta. I never thought we were in much bother. Wee bit gutted that we never stole it at the end, but I'll take that effort every week till we get off the bottom then I'll worry about how poor the football is.

:rotflmao: :thumb04: :018: ;) :015: :D :P :021: :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Totally agree. He was outstanding today. Let's hope he gets a fair crack of the whip from our fans from now on!

aye zadi has taken much stick from the fans, me included, but thought he was immense today. a few wee errors but also saved our ass a few times too.well done that man.

imrie and mihadjuk were top drawer too, i love imries style.he can do your nut in at times but he gives 110 % and is capable of brilliance.

bottom line for me is that its still in our hands whether we stay up and if we continue like this we'll do it.

Great team performance today, gutsy, resilient, and nothing between the two teams on the day, loved TB,s interview after the game on Setanta, im sure he will get slated by the PC mob for the drink related slant, but as an ordinary bloke i can see where he was coming from.

:rotflmao: Heres to next week Tel.

I had my doubts about today game especially when I saw the line up but I have to say well done ICT you put in a great shift today, gave as good as you got and picked up well deserved and very valuable bonus point. Mihadjuks certainly looked the part in defence and I'd like to see a fully fit Foran, Imrie worked his socks off to. Lets hope this improvement can be built upon and we go on a points gathering spree.

Nice to see a bit of fight and spirit and a clean sheet against the old firm, as someone has already mentioned, no easy task.

As for Dougie Imrie, as tenacious a performance as I have seen from a player in a long time. He was like a dog chasing a bone for 90mins.

And did you see the real hug his Manager gave him when he came off. Good on ya TB!

I really had my doubts about Lionel from the start but he played out of his skin today and his contribution to the team effort must be considered as very supportive and inspiring.

And as far as Terry Butcher is concerned maybe not a dream first match but one which clearly gave him great satisfaction and enrgy for the homewared stretc I am sure.

To Acharacleoracle for his ....positivity... :thumb04:

To the naysayers who are more worried about advertisements than drive, enthusiasm and output I can only say that it was a very exciting and enjoyable game which it is supposed to be --value for money, like;

And Mr Strachan appears to be at his wit's end how to break down Inverness these days. His candour seems to be dragged out of him by his frustration and perplexity as to how to deal with that "special something here" referred to by TB in his post-match interview. :rotflmao:

I take it I'm a " naysayer " ?

Heres a quote from the BBC re the " very exciting and enjoyable game " :rotflmao:

That's all for today folks. It wasn't a classic. It was pretty awful really but Inverness fans will be buoyed by what was a gutsy performance, full of passion and commitment.

Looking at the BBC highlights, I think Foran has an attackers instinct. He looked to be getting into good positions whilst Imrie was on the ball and Barrowload, scratching his arse and admiring the seagulls.

As for his OS goal, yes it was OS but more for Duncan who should have chased back once he moved the ball back in. A few of those toay. Mere quibble though.

Not the best game of football but a lot more belief about the team and, as ICTChris mentions, we looked really solid at the back. Indeed, you could argue that we had the better chances of the game compared to Celtic who didn't seem to create too many clear cut chances.

While a point is appreciated we need to take these performances into games against Falkirk, Kilmarnock and St. Mirren in the future. Fingers crossed.

I saw one Tic fan being escorted away by the police in town before the game. His mates were calling after him berating him for getting himself arrested, but the lad being led away was insistent that he was just getting a lift down to the game :rotflmao:
