I'm waiting to find out if I can get a discount, Students get a fair slab off the price, I dont see why HM Forces shouldnt get a discount, Eather way I'll be getting my ticket, the last 2 years I never needed to pay because the other half worked for Clydesdale so I'm guessing my olds seats gone lol.. Im looking at section G but not sure what row yet.....

Why should there be a forces discount?

10 quid for your name on the seat! That's ridiculous.

especially when they don't put it on the right seat and spell your name right  !

Where you at the right seat?

I'm not that stupid  !

I know where I sit :P !

Why shouldnt there be? they given students a discount, so why not HM Forces?

anyway Ive got mine now, Well in 3-4 weeks when they have printed them...

Under that logic, shouldn't there be a doctors and nurses discount? What about one for teachers? Bus drivers? Policemen? Bin Men?

The point is... If you dont ask you dont get, A lot of companys do that kinda deal... Vauxhall cars for example, the reason I asked is because there is around 4000 people at kinloss and lossimouth and it would maybe stir up some support, alot of people here have kids and with the free kids tickets too it would proved the service people here (from all over the UK) with a day out with the kids leaving the Mums to go shopping in the sneck for a couple of hours.... If you have any ideas of how to drum up support and cash then by all means ask...

I dont see any real reason why public sector jobs or Forces shouldnt get recognised for the contrabutions to the area, and its Koodos for the club aswell, they would be seen to be supporting the forces....

The armed forces get paid grown up money for doing the jobs they volunteered for, that is why I believe they should pay the same as any other person in full time employment. Perhaps if you were conscripted into the forces and were serving your country because it is your duty and not your choice then yes but, as my cousin who has been in the army more than his 21 years told me, the British forces are basically mercinaries because they do the job for money and not because they have to.

Student income is not very good.

I start as a student nurse in September, as I understand it I cannot get a student season ticket without a matrik card showing I am a student. So I am unsure what to do, do I pay as I go till Sept and then get a season ticket or indeed wait for the half season tickets? or do I just forget discount this season and buy a full adult season ticket.??

If you have an acceptance letter for your course you should try asking if the club will accept that as proof, if they are reasonable I would expect that they will accept it.

You could look at it the other way technically I am not a student till September so why would I be entitled to a discount for the earlier games.

I think you are missing the point here, I have my season ticket now but it was just an Idea that would appeal to around 4000 people if they wanted a ticket they would get it cheaper, yes I made the desision to join the RAF and yes i do get a very good wage, but still alot of companys recognice that i chose to do this job so they didnt (Conscription) also they see that I may in my line of duty protecting the free world be asked to lay my life on the line for the Uk, we dont get paid what we should all the same, my job is Civvy street would see me make easly 10K more but i chose as you have said to do it... my reasons for this are my own but one of them is so my family doesnt have to do what i do, this is a well none fact, if youve watched Ross Kemps stuff he maked very good points at the end, poor pay for the job we do, poor food, poor living conditions, company realise this and do offer these said discounts, Students as you have mentioned are on lower incomes.... however you blew that point out the water when you said i chose to do my job, students chose to study......kiltarlity, good luck with your studys and once you are fully trained you come to me and say you dont feel you need the recognitions for the job you do?

On a more personal note from myself, I do my job and cant seem myself doing anything else, I have bought my own house (the RAF dont give me a penny to do this) I have a 5 mth old son, (the RAF give me nothing towards this) I am not married so the RAF will do nothing in anyway to help me and my family, I get nothing from the goverment or councel, so Im all honsty I cost the contry nothing,

Students on the other hand......

Vauxhall cars give bigger discounts to certain groups of workers. Nurses, Teachers ect.

So I kind off see where you are coming from.

I'm not going to feel bad about the goverment funding me to be a student, I'm returning to study (changing career), It's been 17 years since I was last a student and since then I have always worked and paid tax.

georgious I am sending you a PM, I don't want to drag this thread O/T so we can chat there.

Birddog did PM me, and we will agree to disagree on some of your points and agree on most of them.... anyway Ive got mine now anyway, and to add a koodos for me, I got my signed Caley ball today... dont worry it wasnt a freebe hand out to the MF forces, I gave some lad on P+B money for a bike ride he did for charity......

At the end of the day, the season tickets are not dear. ?70 for me to go and watch 16 games. Thats brilliant. I have no problem for paying that(I am not rich, far from it, though this might make me out to sound rich). Anyway. You CANNOT beat going to watch one of your faves/fave team on a saturday afternoon with mates and fellow fans.

Have you phoned them to ask this question, or sent an email ? Might be the best place to start

Still waiting on mine but only been waiting about a week or so. Only concern I have is that our postie seemed to dump all the mail at the bottom of the stairs the other day as he / she couldn't be bothered going to the different flats to drop it off. Hope no one has stolen it.*

*Admittedly the chances of this are rather thin
