Firefox typing lag issue

Since i did a factory restore on my laptop last week, and been using Firefox, when i am replying on forums like here etc (or general typing) there is a lag between typing in the letters and them appearing on the screen. Anyone have any ideas as it is most annoying?

Other users of similar forums have had this issue. Some suggest it's too do with having the image zoom plugin installed and enabled. I'm told the new version (0.3.1) of Image Zoom resolves this issue.

If you did a factory restore, have you got all of your drivers installed and up to date?

Well.....i have automatic updates turned on, so Im assuming everything is up to speed, but cant be certain about that.

Even on Vista, Windows update will not and does not download graphics drivers.
