E-Readers v a Kindle

I'm looking for some basic advice, I have a Sony E-Reader and pay quite a lot for ebook downloads, does anyone know if I'm able to download Kindle books onto it? Just because they seem to be a lot cheaper, is it all the same kind of files etc?

'Fraid not. Two different files. You can't read either on each others. I love my kindle but only really read text (.txt), images and pdf's, rather than kindle store books.

Actually, it's entirely possible...

To get Kindle Files to work on your Sony E-Reader, all you need to do is strip the DRM from the file and then run it through a converter.

I like both. Not having to take books means there is more room in the suitcase for the duty free.
