Billy Mackay is currently on a remarkable 20 SPL goals, with 7 games left to play. If he could somehow make it to 25, only Kris Boyd and Henrik Larsson have done better. 

 

The SPL's highest ever tally for a non-Old Firm player is 21 (Stokes for Hibs in 09/10) which would appear achievable for Billy - but also for Higdon (20) or Griffiths (19).  Griffiths may actually have the best opportunity to be top scorer, if Hibs end up with easier games in the bottom 6.

 

The SPL's top scorer has always been either a Celtic or Rangers player, but at the moment Hooper (16) is the only one even in the top 12.
