Realistic points after 8 games

Just looking at the fixture lists and the needed points to get a playoff spot. 

Think our minimum points after the first 8 games has to be higher than 11. 

Really interested to see if we can even get close to this but think that would be a good start and point to review the team performance in a few weeks.

Keeping my eye on results against Brechin Dumbarton and QOS, if we can't beat these teams look out. Don't expect us to beat Morton hope to be proved wrong.

Ok i think/ hope we will perform like this,

Win qos, dumbarton, brechin, 

One point from stmirren and livi to give 11 points. Any better results  shows team gelling better than expected. Less and we are in a different fight. 

Livi is now the key game for me as a team in form with lots of goals can we hold strong and compete? 

Think st mirren away is a game to far and too early for current team. Any points there big bonus.

It's amazing how consistent the needs for various targets are across leagues and seasons. 2pts/game average is challenging for honours, 1.5/game is challenging for play-offs and 1/game is relegation material. So after 8 games, we need to be at the 12 point mark to be towards top 4: Less than 8 and there are warning signs, if early in the season. My guess is 9.

Half way there and 4 points after 4 games. Reckon we need 2 wins from the next 4 to get us rolling. Try and get to 10 or 11 points and go from there.

Reviewing where we are now we are deep in a survival battle.

We are well below the performance required to even compete in the league and the confidence is so low. 

Unless we release the kids onto the park or get some loannees in we are finishing second bottom.

Three tough league matches coming up (against what most would see a 'bigger ' teams : then Livvy and 6 pointer against Brechin (ffs).

On current form could imagine us adrift after that lot..................

I'm not sure it's going to get better with the next match. Falkirk have appointed Paul Hartley as manager. A shrewd appointment. I don't see them keeping us company towards the bottom of the division for much longer.
