The new applications on the i-phones/touch are feckin amazin,wee lad doonloaded some,how does it know which way yer tilting it?......ehm baffled :rotflmao:

Not sure of the technology in the I-Phone but early PC controllers used to use a steel ball in a tube (or tubes). I'd imagine they have some new fangled and more accurate method of reproducing something on the same principles.

uses an accelerometer to measure speed and gravity, apple used it to detect if the phone was horizontal or vertical but some clever people have now used it to detect any movement
