are they fake or real,they are not really dangerous for people to use.as its people them selfs that are moveing the glass seen fake ones on most haunted all this week

Well my experience of weegie broads is pretty limited, but the ones i have seen in Glasgow city centre i would'nt touch with a haunted barge pole.

When I was about 15 years old I lived in South Africa for a while. While I was there I was witness to a ouija board session. It was just some friends, my mate's girlfriend and her parents. They started with the usual questions, nothing exciting happening. Then my mate's G/F asked who he really loved, it came out with another girls name. The problem was:

1. My mate was seeing this other girl on the side.

2. No-one apart from me even knew she existed. (I wasn't touching the board)

3. My mate wasn't there, he was actually with the other girl.

Spooky ?

Unlikely to find a greater cynic than myself about all things puportedly " occult" but I had an experience messing about with a home made ouija board over 30 years ago which gives me nightmares to this day.

My advice is leave well alone !

Like Kingsmills, I had a scary experience with a home made board about 30 years ago that convinced me external forces were coming into play.

Is it not amazing how the mind creates false memories to suit your belief system? The human memory is one of the least reliable pieces of evidence you will find, I am sure a law professional like Kingsmills will testify to that.

Misty nights, through an alcoholic haze, you mean?

My experience was that the glass, although initially moving slowly, then began to move across the board at a much higher rate of knots than 4 fingers could have created.

One extreme cynic in our group voiced suspicion with the events unfolding on the board, at which point the glass shot off the table and smashed against a wall.

The rest of us decided to call a halt to the proceedings at that point.....

Unusually entirely sober at the time, glass levitated at least a foot above the table for a good 10 seconds or so and then shot sideways smashing against a wall at least two yards away.

Probably a perfectly plausable explanation but I coldn't think of one then and still can't now.

Like most of these things, you have your hoaxes and you have your genuinely unexplainable.

Unfortunately we have those who seek to exploit the unknown (the hoaxers) and you then have those who seek a piece of the action by exposing the hoaxers...and rightly so. However, because none of us like things that can't be explained then it becomes easy for us to simply chalk everything up as a hoax.

There's much about this "world" that we don't know....or have forgotten. We rely too much on other people giving us an explanation of things instead of trusting our own thinking and instincts.

That's not to say that I believe in ghosts of those who have passed or spirits from another dimension, but I do believe there's energies and forces at work all around us every day that we don't understand but occasionally get a glimpse at...often when we least expect it or bodies/minds are working at a heightened state...be that through fear or whatever.
