Gillet and Proctor out for a month

Both Proctor and Gillet have had their hamstring injuries assessed and are facing up to 4 weeks out according to the courier. Suppose Shinnie and Piermayr will be fine till their fit but id be concerned if either of them got crocked as well.

Both players' injuries had yet to be fully assessed as The Inverness Courier went to press, but manager Terry Butcher said the initial prognosis is far from encouraging and he expects to be without the pair for anything up to four weeks

"It didn't look great for either of them on Saturday," he said. "I think we could be without them both for some considerable time.

From the official site:

Terry reveals that left back Kenny Gillet's injury, sustained at Dunfermline on Saturday, is not the very serious affair it seemed when the classy Frenchman was being stretchered off before half time at East End Park. "Kenny's proved to be not as bad as we thought", said Butcher, ?but his hamstring problem will need time to settle and he won't figure against Rangers.

"David Proctor picked up an injury at Dunfermline which is a tear in the hamstring and there is a lot of bruising so we'll need to wait for that to go down before we get a medical verdict on how long he will be sidelined. Saturday's game, however, is a no-no for the lad."

Piermayr back at rite back and Shinnie in at left - hopefully both Gillet and Meekins will be back at the same time. Shame fer Proctor who has been blighted by injury over the last few seasons but he needed a rest and hopefully he will come back with a bit more confidence.

It's a worry when it is two defenders who are injured at the same time especially with a squad with so few defenders anyway, lets hope we don't get anymore injuries but it's not like we don't have players that can't come in at the moment.

In respect to Gillet, G Shinnie can come in and may be able to put pressure on him which could ultimately help the team out in future weeks and months as competition for places always keeps players on their toes.

For Proctor, yes while it's a shame that he is injured yet again but to be honest how many people on here can say they have been happy with his displays this season so far and how many have actually given him pass marks in the first few games not to mention friendlies. I personally would rather know what we had to work with than worry if what I did have was going to work.

I think we're ok here. G.Shinnie should come in. If he's not fit, then Tokely's done ok at LB before with Aldred and Hogg in CD (which they may well be anyway). No real cause for concern there. That's a decent back four, considering G.Shinnie, Gillett, Meekings and Proctor can all return in a few weeks, with Cox also being possibly in there when he's back. Or Jones if there's another one out.
