Am i right in thinking that this site is a hell of a lot quieter than yrs gone by? Even in the big games Vs Old Firm, matchday threads will get about 4 pages of replies. New replies on subjects can take an eternity and it just feels generally a lot quieter on here now

Haven't looked too closely at the hard figures as volume of traffic is not our main driver, but the site has natural cycles that it runs through on a regular basis.

Site chatter tends to reflect what's happening with the team. If they have a lot of highs and lows it tends to keep the chat flowing. If they go on a series of good results then the chat slips off a bit until you get a blip and that kick starts things again. Likewise if they are on a bad run then you get all the knee-jerk reaction that creates a lot of chat that then slips off and it picks up when we get a good result and the "I never doubted them" contingent kicks in.

These trends happen on a grand scale from season to season and you get smaller levels of it happening within that on a month to month, week to week and day to day basis.
