Partick v Dundee Utd

Just looking at BBC and noticed Partick played Dundee Utd yesterday.  If this was an international weekend was it optional for clubs?  

Winning start for Neilson anyway and Patrick look like having the kind of season ICT had.  Wonder who will get that job?

Alloa, Dunfermline, QOS and County were all playing in the Challenge Cup yesterday. With Partick and Dundee Utd already out they were free to play their scheduled league fixture. 

Or something like that.

Thanks!  The Challenge Cup is very poorly represented on BBC Scottish football page.  Very easy to miss (at least for me...).
