Can anyone tell me if it is possible to rotate videos recorded on my mobile phone (like its posible to do with windows picture viewer?)

I sent vids recorded on my phone, but they are playing in lanscape mode rather than portrait mode and i cant see any options to change the settings on media player classic

What file format are the movies in? You can get software to rotate them, but depending on the format you might need to convert them to something else first.

Some editing software allows you to rotate the image to whatever angle you need so you can flip 90 180 or 270 degrees as required.

Sony Vegas Platinum 9 is one such bit of software.

Any practical help required? If so, send me an email.

Thanks for the replies guys. To answer your question Don...the vids are in MP4 format

Get this software - SUPER

Convert the video to AVI using above

Rotate/Edit using this software - VirtualDub

Both software packages are free and you can use SUPER to convert the file back to MP4 (or any other format) after you've rotated it.

I don't know of any free software that will rotate an MP4
