Must be a relief for him and the club that this is all over and he can get back to football without this distraction.

We could certainly do with a bit of punch in midfield, and I'm sure he's capable of supporting the attack too. Is he our very own Steven Gerrard?

The whole case sounded like a complete waste of time.

I hope they continue to look for the perpetrator of this cowardly attack.

eh, why was Hayes escorted out, anyway?

Might have been Hayes that 'banjoed' the person?

that will be 6ft 2" Johnny Hayes eh?

I remember being in Gs one Friday night when none other than Barry Robson pushed to the front of the queue for the cloakroom demanding he should get out first. Someone asked him "Who the hell do you think you are?" which got the classic response "Do you not know who I am? I'm Barry Robson!" He was promptly to get to the back of the line like everyone else.

I don't think any of the named people come out of this looking clever.

But anyway, on Saturday can someone arrange for our team to run onto the pitch to some banjo music?

Sounds like he used the same lawyer as SG.

In the Courier & HN too: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/fullstory.php/aid/12960/Footballer_cleared_of_assault.html

So going by the three accounts, he left by the stairs and the fire exit and was wearing both a black and a purple shirt during the attack ....

Glad to hear he was found not guilty after those conflicting reports and had to raise an eyebrow at some of the other lines in the article .....

"Cox had denied assaulting Greg MacBean, a kick boxing instructor ..." :_shocked2: [not a good advert for self defense then]

"Mr MacBean said he had one vodka in the City Bar, one in Smith and Jones, and then gone to Love2Love at about 11.30pm where he had four bottles of alcopops" :_funny:

"Sheriff Ian Abercrombie said he was not satisfied the Crown witnesses were telling the truth and accordingly he was finding Cox not guilty" :_nonono:

When asked by fiscal depute Simon Crabb what he thought of Cox, Mr MacBean replied: ?I think he is a wimp for doing what he did.?

What does the address Northern Constabulary mean? Heard of people giving addresses such as prisons or NFA but a police force as an address?

Posted

think the "accusers" in a case can have their real address withheld if they wish and have it stated as the police force - something to do with the potential for witness intimidation / reprisals or something like that.

Care to explain why Mr MacBean is a wimp ?

OK folks, thread getting too personal, decision made to close thread.

Good news for Cox though.
